Fabulous Resource!!
I have loved all of Lisa's books!! Well done, layout is great, super helpful for homework with clients in therapy sessions, and to work on items at home. Lisa has a way of clearly explaining items in her books without making it to boring or complicated along with having a creative way to implement the technique with all ages. You won't regret this purchase or any of her other books...so glad to have this! I hope she continues to write more books for young adults, and other audiences too. I would love a book of theirs on grief work for teens.

Practical, Innovative, Affirming
This workbook is a fantastic resource that helps empower a young adult to make thoughtful decisions. Anyone who is struggling to support independence in their children or students should definitely pick up a copy! It is very user-friendly, and can be used an in therapy activity, or for homework. Parents can also use the worksheets to help provide scaffolding support to their kids at home. Love it!! Highly recommended!!

Happy High School Counselor!!!
The CBT Toolbox for Young Adults is an amazing resource!! As a high school counselor, I find myself struggling to find age appropriate tools and resources for small groups or individual sessions. Many books geared towards their age group are too “elementary” or outdated to relate to. When networking with other secondary counselors, it seems we all struggle to find a “curriculum” that checks the boxes without costing hundreds of dollars or being some kind of school-wide program that overlaps what we already have in place. This resource breaks down many life skills teens struggle with and helps give me something concrete when addressing motivation and personal accountability. Definitely worth the investment!!

It’s easy to grab and go with an activity/worksheet to help build strategies with adolescent and young adult clients! Definitely grab this book!!

Easy to use resource for practitioners
Dr. Phifer knocks it out of the park with this book full of worksheets for use with young adults. The book is organized so topics are easy to find and the worksheets are in simple language and age appropriate. It is my “go to” when I need an activity to guide a 1:1 session or give an outside activity to support social emotional development. Excellent resource that sits on my desk within arm’s reach!

Powerful, practical, impactful
Like many parents of teens and tweens, we've been craving some sort of practical approach to help our kids think through 'life' situations and developing helpful habits, with something other than 'here's what worked for me'. This workbook is just that--straightforward 'homework' and structure to help with the parts of 'growing up' that aren't (usually) taught in school.
