Wasn’t able to find info on if it work with Subaru. The non video versions work just fine but wasn’t finding video/app based devices that stated Subaru support. Decided to give it a shot, glad I did, working just fine.You need to be comfortable with installing apks as the play store lacks quite a bit of the big streaming apps as far as compatibility with this device/android combo. Netflix is always an issue with any device like this, projectors as well but the device does have a installer for it. Others like Disney and Hulu, you’ll need to side load install a apk for them. Some like Prime, espn can be installed easily from the play store but you may get older versions of those app. HBO max is one such app like this, you get a older version. Installing the latest apk will install but videos won’t play. I’ve encountered one app so far, Vudu, that I haven’t been able to get working in either play store or side load form. Some apps will have sizing, touch quirks.Point being with all that, it takes some patience, experience with android and side loading. Having to be completely touch based to maneuver around and type comes with some challenges as well. I’m not sure I can see how this could be better refined though, most of this is working around limitations of android 9 and it’s unfriendly touch/tablet nature. A bt keyboard could likely help with the typing.The device doesn’t seem updatable via standard android settings, I’m guessing it’s been locked out of that to not risk losing its functionality.If I had a negative, and one that I didn’t integrate into my review score, I thought the Apple CarPlay side of things felt lower resolution then my non ai app based Carlinkit device and lower res vs native wired CarPlay. I’ll want to play around with this some more first to finalize my opinion on that feature but the map looked noticeably fuzzier to me.

I purchased this on December 06, it was delivered on December 13, from the start it was not working, the apps take too long to open, and when they did open for example Netflix played for 10, 15 seconds, on youtube because that is where I saw this device it said it would work better getting a sim card for it, which I did, but it was still lagging, so on March 14, it just gave out, would not turn on at all, I called Amazon, and they said they could not do anything about it because the return date had expired, which was January 31,which was just 3 months old, So NO, I do not recommend this product. it was not cheap

The device has its quirks. Far from perfect. The thing that annoys me the most is that the first time that goes to Android Auto, it will kick you out and go back to Google. You have to press twice or for a second time to stay with Android Auto. Sometimes voice command does not work. Sometimes will not pickup 4G signal.
