Be Still Devotional: Prayer Journal for Women

Best one yet!
Seek and you shall find and what an absolute treasure you’ll have found if you happen to stumble across this one. This devotional Bible study feels totally unique to others that I have been looking into recently and I think that this is one that I’ll be recommending for a long time. Not only does it include reflections, prayers and scriptures but sections for journaling and colouring are also included which are the perfect escapism from ‘real' life, enabling women (or any reader) to take some time out and relax. Everything within this book is well written, reflective and above all else, they’re clear and easy to understand. One of the better qualities for this devotional book is that the scriptures and passages are split into weekly focuses rather than daily, making working your way through a lot more achievable. Each week the author has included suggestions for the weekly ‘task’ which encourages readers to get involved but also allows them to use their own initiative as well – which suits me a lot better!Highly recommend.

Love it
Got this for myself as my mobility and health isn’t good at the moment and I cannot always get to church.Helps to focus my mind on scripture and on who I wish to pray for, lovely book, paperback so easy to use only once a week so no pressure to do it daily , I listen to daily devotional but didn’t to pressure myself .The other thing I like is it isn’t dated so I can get some for friends throughout the year

Readings
I love that this book breaks down what you should take away from the verses.

A fresh take on devotional
I love the uniqueness of this devotional Bible study book. Others I have tried in the past have required the reader makes reflections on a separate page but here it’s all built in. There are even colouring in pages to encourage mindfulness and reflection on the devotionals given. There is a devotional for each week of the year, which is perfect because I don’t really have time to complete one a day. This allows me to set aside dedicated time weekly for my study. Each passage is filled with hope and clearly and practically explained, with examples of real situations that link well to it. The reflections are well written and thoughtful. A refreshing change to usual devotional books!

Not for writing
It's a nice gift, but there is no enough spaces for writing nor reflecting. Nice to read but not for writing, a bit disappointed as I wanted to write more. Item also received damaged as it was left in the rain without plastic envelope.

Great for moments of clear-headed mindfulness
This prayer journal is gorgeous and beautiful designed and makes for a perfect addition to a calm moment for reflection. The reflections and excerpts in the book are organised by week, which is great if you don't always fond the time to prioritise your spirituality (which you should!). Beautiful book, buy it.

The quality of the book & the material
I liked this devotional most of all & am looking forward to getting into it in the New Year. It’s a good size & not overly intensive as I already have my own Bible reading to do every day.

Loving this New Women's Devotional!
Really enjoyed this new devotional for women by Ms. Nyberg! If you’re looking for a solid and refreshingly supportive daily devotional (or series of devotionals) for everyday use or just on those days when you’re feeling down, this author has you covered! This Be Still devotional/prayer journal starts off with some really lovely floral artwork on the cover, and it’s all positive from there! As with many other physical or digital devotionals, Nyberg’s contents and messages are organized into several weeks, so the reader can either pace themselves with one short lesson or flip around and read several that interest them at one time. With this and the option to have the book on kindle, it becomes incredibly flexible for all of those who are back to being busy with work, errands, or school, to really find which verses apply to your situation daily like I do!With thanksgiving and the holidays arriving faster than we know it, this book would make a great little stocking stuffer or secret santa addition for the loved ones in your life! Especially in these harder times with covid and all, some of Nyberg’s verses chosen for this book explicitly remind us to slow down and take the time to count our blessings which is a great reminder no matter how new or experienced you are in your faith

Very fitting title
I'll start off by saying that the title "Be Still" is fitting and appropriate, because that's exactly how I felt while reading through this devotional. My favorite part are the 3 reflections, which are clear, simple, and easy to remember -- therefore easier to keep in my mind throughout my life. If I can just be a little nitpicky, I couldn't help but notice the inconsistency of the devotional, that it switches from first-person ("I can", "I want", etc) to second-person ("You can", "You are", etc). But since this is meant to be a weekly devotional, I'm sure the general reader wouldn't notice this. If I were to suggest one change though, it's for this ebook to really specify its audience. Sure it's for women, but there were some devotionals that focused on marriage and kids, while others mentioned school, therefore implying a young adult audience. But for the majority, this devotional is probably mainly meant for adult married women than younger women. But overall, it's still really great and encouraging, perfect for starting off this year :)
