The Price of Fame
This was a cute " chic lit" book. The author had a lot of opportunity to grow the characters but didn't. If the other characters had been developed and sub-plots had been formed this would have been a much better book. As ot stands the main character,Riley, is a self-centered childish 20 something still full of unresolved childhood issues. Her childhood best friend Gareth became her boyfriend. When his big break comes and he leaves to follow his acting dream she falls apart. Three years later he contacts her to see how she is doing. She gets stuck in an elevator with Ashe. The drama begins, and it is trite. Apparently this book is part of a series. My advice is to skip this book and the series. There are only so many hours in life. Find a better book.

Great Story & Audible Listen🎧Riley💘Ashe
Loving AsheThe Celebrity Series, Book 1By: Liz DuranoNarrated by: Tracy MarksI loved this story, it is well written and it captivated my mind from start to end. The storylines are interesting and there are so many emotions built in to them. An array of emotions, happiness, sadness, anger, guilt and shame. I liked both leads, Riley and Ashe, the chemistry between them was smoking. I really felt for Riley, she did not have the easiest childhood and then her life fell apart when her heart was broken by her childhood sweetheart. And Ashe had a way about him, his charm, personality, confidence and positive outlook. He seemed to have wisdom within, I am looking forward to find out more about him in the next book, “Loving Riley”. Liz Durano, thank you for this great story and the drama, twists, humor and hot romance. I hope the audio of “Loving Riley” is in the works and will be available soon.I listened to the audio edition, Tracy Marks is a fabulous narrator & storyteller. She performs all the voices and switches characters effortlessly with out missing a beat. Great job with Ashe’s accents too. Thank you for another great & entertaining listen!!Thank you 🎧AudiobookObsession

Ashe is a perfect man, doing everything to show Riley that she's ...
This is the first book I read by Liz Durano, and I was really surprised. The story and the characters are very well written. And despite being a long read, I couldn't drop it until I finished reading. The story begins with Riley stuck in an elevator, on the way to find her ex-boyfriend, Gareth. Little did she know that fate would nail a play on her and make her stay in that elevator with the actor Ashe Hunter, whom she didn't know was famous. They begin to know each other and things get really interesting. Ashe is a perfect man, doing everything to show Riley that she's worth it.The twists of the story made me very surprised, and with some characters I felt a love-hate relationship at the same time, for all that they made Riley go through.I loved the triplets, Paige, the coffee team. All characters are very interesting and essential to the story.I loved the unfolding of the story and its end, and now I'm anxious to read "Loving Riley".I highly recommend reading this book.

Great read
I enjoyed reading this book a lot! I couldn't help thinking that the title didn't quite fit, however; the story was more about "discovering Riley" than about loving Ashe. I was somewhat frustrated with Riley at times, I'll admit. She certainly needed to grow up and truly "see" others and stop focusing so much on just herself and her own issues. I felt like she didn't see what was going on with other people; she was too eager to accept facades and never tried to dig deeper into who her close family and friends we're, what they were feeling or enduring. She gave off a very immature "oh whoa is me and you're all out to control me" simplistic view. If she'd truly been through all that she had, she should have been less naive. I was putting pieces together way before everyone else had to specifically point out to her how they all fit. That slowed the story down slightly, along with her "I'm cutting off all contact" attitude, which is understandable for a little while but not in the long term, especially after learning the truth and what part everyone played. I'm not sure I need to read other books in this series about Riley and Ashe but I did enjoy this one!

Ashe and Riley
Loving Ashe is a wonderful story with great but messed up characters. Riley Eames and Ashe Hunter meet by chance when they are stuck in an elevator in a hotel. Riley went to the hotel to meet with her ex-boyfriend Gareth Roman who left her 3 years earlier to pursue his dream in Hollywood. She was hoping to get some answers to many questions she still has but she changes her mind and decides to not see him. Ashe was at the hotel in meetings and doing press for his movie he did with Gareth and Isobel Reign. Riley doesn't know who Ashe is and hasn't really watched television or movies since Gareth left her.Riley and Ashe are wonderful characters from completely different worlds. Ashe is a British actor who has started becoming more famous and popular. He's from a small town in England and his family and friends keep him grounded. He had some tragedy and went away from everything for awhile and now he's back. Riley has been heartbroken and not really living since Gareth left her. She didn't handle him leaving her well and ended up heavy into drugs and overdosed. Her sister Paige and her husband Clint sent her to rehab and then helped her with becoming part owner of The Library Cafe. Riley's completely real and she fascinates Ashe. He realizes how wonderful she is and can't get her out of his mind. Ashe is gorgeous, talented, and he's pretty down to earth considering he's a movie star.I'm about to delve into the next book - Loving Riley and see more into this wonderful pair's world.

A refreshing read
Loving Ashe is the first book I've read by Liz and this is a very refreshing read. Our main character Riley has been in a massive heartbreak from three years ago and was just on the way to meet the ex who broke her heart when she got stuck in an elevator with a handsome stranger named Ashe.Ashe is a real gentleman and continued to pursue Riley even though she felt he was too good to be true. She was even more surprised when she found out that Ashe is a famous English actor. As time went on, they did get closer and Riley felt she could no longer resist Ashe.A lot of things were revealed near the end that ties Riley to her ex, as well as her sister and brother-in-law. These revelations were heartbreaking and utterly shattered Riley but she's got Ashe to support her.I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the next book, Loving Riley.(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)

This book was ok
While I enjoyed reading this book I found it was a little repetitive at times and the story was a bit all over the place.
