Wilma Medieval Viking Wool Dress by Calvina Costumes - Made in Turkey

This gown fits me perfectly in every way and is very flattering! I ordered an X-Large, and I usually wear a size 16/18. I'm 5'6", and the length is exactly right. The wool blend doesn't seem too warm to wear (have been wearing it in the house for a bit and I'm not roasting). Where the fabric is touching my skin it does not feel itchy at all. Now if they made this gown in more colors, I'd be a very happy medieval Viking girl! :)(Please make this gown in more colors!)

I bought this dress as Zoom-passable SCA garb for the winter months, while I work on sewing my own. I am about 5'5", 140 lbs. With a 34" bust, 32" waist, and petite shoulders. Based on the sizing chart, I bought the small. The dress rubs a little in the armpits, but otherwise fits perfectly. The fabric is like a nice felt, and the seams scream "modern", but as an inexpensive option for warm garb, it meets my expectations. I am a little concerned about washing, as I have zero room for shrinkage in the pits, so will try to do an update whenever I clean it. I over all, it's a pretty decent dress for the price, and is quite cozy.

The color proved true! I ordered a size larger just in case since not from the USA; however, it works with wearing something under for winter and can adjust easily for spring and fall. Thanks so much!

Just purchased this dress. I LOVE it and it fits perfectly. However, if you're like me and wondering if this will be light enough to wear to summer events, the answer is definitely no. It's quite warm. I'm still keeping it for fall and winter events, and I'll be bringing it along with me in case it gets rainy or something, but you would roast alive in this at Pennsic.

Beautiful. Very well made, wonderful seams. Very high quality. It’s long on me, but I’m exceedingly short (5’0”). It arrived in two days, with a cute safety pin token with an Eye bead. I’m very happy!
