Love the layout of this book and even the way it feels to hold. Beautiful and touching poems. Can really feel the author's emotions. Thought it was interesting how she split it into 2 parts, in a way it tells a story. Would recommend

Shelby Leigh's 'changing with the tides' is a fantastic read from a talented author. Since her first book 'It starts like this' she had been hinting towards a new release, and it will not disappoint. Where her first book was a collection of individual poems dealing with their own stories, 'changing with the tides' is a more linear story of a person's faults, flaws and all around negativity in life and how that person overcomes these issues to better themself as an individual. It is an easy to read, well written poetic story telling that many people will be able to relate with.

It felt like riding on waves. allowing me to ride the waves of my own experience and allowing me to understand I’m not alone in the roughest times.Gave me a sense of calm and understanding and some clarity of mind, allowing myself to express myself creatively too x

I loved this collection by Shelby. It's so heartfelt and beautiful. I could feel her pain and her strength. There's some really lovely imagery, too. Would recommend to anyone who is on a journey of healing and needs some words of encouragement!

I have been following Shelby on Instagram for a while now and love her writing. That said, I wasn't expecting the amount of beauty I found in this book. Not only are the poems raw and beautiful but the book is so beautifully put together, it almost tells a story. That is what I look for in poetry.
