These are wonderful after a very short break in period. Great with or without socks, and they look very good. These do fit my narrow feet a bit loosely given the length, compared with other shoes. That's not such a problem since I generally wear this kind of shoe looser than others anyway. It's a relevant observation though. If you have narrow feet then the width may be a bit much, but if you have wide feet then these may be great for you without having to go with a wider width. The length is quite opposite though. I usually wear a 12 in this kind of shoe, and the length is almost on the verge of being short. I know that a 13 would have been too long and ridiculously wide on me though, so the 12 is still the best fit. I have worn them for a few days now both for work and casually and they feel great. Highly recommended, as long as you can get a decent fit.

I used to live in Sperry Top-Siders back in my college days and for years afterwards. They were well made, comfortable and consistent. Admittedly it's probably been a decade since my last purchase. I was shocked at the poor quality of this product. The leather was so thin I was afraid to tie the laces for fear it would tear. The laces were not the leather kind that I was used to back in the day. They were a cheap synthetic cloth, as fragile as the leather upper. I thought perhaps it was just a defective pair, but when I opened the box containing the other Sperry pair (different style/color) I found those to be of equally poor quality. I didn't even bother to try them on. Both pairs went back to Amazon the next day. Thank goodness for free returns.

Husband usually takes a 10.5 to 11 . I bought these in an 11 and I could see before he tried them on that they would be too long. Like ALOT too long. I am returning them to buy a 10.5. Always great Sperry quality- MANY pairs in the house. This was WAY too big.
