Environmentally friendly
This laundry soap works great. No dyes or fragrance, no poisons, no plastic jugs. I’m happy to use a product that is environmentally safe — and it takes a LOT less shelf space than a jug or bottle or box.

Works well, no smell, package absorbs moisture and is expensive
I really wanted to try this laundry soap when I saw it. What a great idea! No plastic jugs, no messy pouring, great for the environment. I wasn't sure if I trusted it to work well, so at first I used it occasionally for tough things and reserved the old standby for more delicate stuff. As time went on, I used it more and more for most things. But I still use the old standby here and there because this soap is expensive! The first package wasn't too successful as the soap squares became slimy sitting in the opened cardboard package in our laundry room. If your laundry setup is in a basement or damp area, as ours is, you may want to consider a plastic box to store the package in. We tried a ziplock bag, but that's a pain to open and close every time, so we got a shallow plastic container. I know, I know, this negates the purpose of these things, right? Well, at least one plastic box has less footprint than dozens of single-use detergent jugs. And it has to be practical. So that's my compromise. 5 stars for quality and innovation, 3 stars for impractical packaging for a laundry area, and 4 stars for added expense. 4 in all.

Eco friendly
No more bulky boxes or plastic containers for my laundry detergent. I use half a sheet per load and my clothes come out clean and fresh smelling.

Best one yet!
We have been using the TruEarth laundry sheets now for quite a while. When you buy jugs of detergent, you are truly paying for a lot of water in the product. You also need to dispose of all those jugs. Even if you buy the smallest jug of the most highly concentrated soap, it is still a lot that goes to the dump over the years. And not enough of plastic jugs and bottles get recycled.First time my wife heard of these detergent sheets, she was excited. I was skeptical. How is it that we are truly only using THAT MUCH actual SOAP to wash a WHOLE LOAD? Took a bit for me to get used to just one half sheet works for a whole load. We DO sometimes add the whole sheet if we have been working outside a lot.We tried two other brands - she reacted to the first one with skin rashes everywhere. I reacted to the second one with a horrible rash on my feet from my socks. So our next attempt was TruEarth - my wife has super sensitive skin and immune system, while i do not. TruEarth is the ONLY one that has not caused either of us to have a problem. When she realized how neither of us reacted to TruEarth, she rewashed literally ALL our laundry in the first package and ordered more!We chose the unscented, which she loves, and it dissolves easily in warm or cold water in our top loading washing machine. I will say that when our WINTER water comes in and it is SUPER cold, the TruEarth sheets don't dissolve as easily and once or twice they left tiny blobs on a couple of articles of clothing. That was easily remedied by rewashing the load on a short cycle. It was also remedied by ALWAYS making sure in winter we toss the sheet into warm water before starting a whole load. This can easily be done by adding a little hot water into the washer first, pausing the cycle, adding the soap sheet, and when dissolved, switch the load to cold or warm and continue as a regular load. OR you can have a small container of hot water handy (she uses an old quart size yogurt or cottage cheese tub), place a sheet in, load the washer as usual, then dump the dissolved laundry soap into your washer just like you would a liquid detergent.I will say, this is not an issue for just TruEarth. My wife and I had to dissolve all three brands in warm or hot water when it was cold outside. But we DO live over 3,000 feet in the Appalachians and our winter water is LIKE ICE some days.Removing stains: this product is great at removing grass stains, dirt stains from the gardens, spilled foods (grease or oil need extra treatments, but that is normal for us), and even baby spit up. We haven't had to pretreat anything since starting to use TruEarth except for oil or grease stains. Oh, it also removes stench, stink and smells easily, too. Definitely a product we regularly recommend to family and friends.

They're ok.
I've been using these for a few months now. Here are my thoughts. Are these sustainable? I think so. This is a great idea. No more need for big plastic jugs. Comes in paper packaging that can be recycled. I feel better about my minimized carbon footprint (albeit the fact that I have to get these delivered from Amazon which is an issue in of itself. But I got into the habit of only needing to order about 4 packs of these a month to last in between deliveries and minimize deliveries).Does it dissolve in the wash? Yes. I have a top loading machine. I use two strips minimum at a time and place them directly where the water will pour down. Never had an issue of residue strips leftover in the machine.Does it clean? Kind of. For lightly soiled clothes, it's fine, but I can't rationalize only using one strip...I'll use two. For regularly soiled clothes (I have a toddler so think dirt/mud on white socks and food stains on shirts), I'll use two to three strips (less for small loads and more for bigger loads), and no, the clothes dont come out completely stain free, white, and clean had I used other detergents (like oxiclean). Also, after a few months of using these, I've been noticing a bit of fade in my colors. Because of COVID19, this doesn't matter for our 'at home' clothes, but I am worried about having to use them for my work clothes when I have to go back into the office (blacks, etc). I'm thinking I'll reserve the strips for regular clothes and use special detergent (woolite) for nicer clothes when I go back to work, so the goal of not having to buy big plastic jugs wont be entirely fulfilled.Do these smell good? Yes and no. I get what some people are saying that they dont make your clothes smell good. The strips themselves smell good. But during and after a wash, the clothes smell gross, sort of like dirty water. After drying with a Bounce dryer sheet, the clothes smell good. Never tried it without a dryer sheet, since I dont use fabric softener in the wash. Are these a good bang for my buck? These are definitely more expensive than regular liquid detergent. Each pack says it can wash 32 loads, but because I have to use more than 1 strip to get clothes more clean, I dont even get 32 loads. So I probably go through 3 packs a month for all my clothes (me, my husband, my toddler, plus sheets, towels, etc). So, no, these aren't economical, but I take comfort in knowing I'm not contributing to a lot of plastic waste. I'm hoping these guys can improve their product to be stronger, more concentrated per strip AND bring their price down as time goes on.Conclusion? They're ok and I'll keep using them, unless I find a better plastic free product...though I hope they improve their product.

Great detergent
Love it, works well and has a very delicate scent - I don't like overwhelming scents of the typical laundry detergents. I like that there is no plastic in the packaging and that it takes so little space - It's a great eco-friendly option

Laundry strips

Very good/hypoallergenic
This stuff works very well - no issue getting my clothes clean. Works good for melted popcorn butter stains too thankfully! Cineplex popcorn did not win that round! For someone who cannot not spill stuff constantly this stuff is great! Also not being allergic to it when everything else I am is a major bonus! Not itchy and clean and environmentally friendly means I will never switch back!

Work well.
I’m halfway through my first pack of these. They work well. Laundry is properly cleaned. The scent is mostly lost by the time I bring the laundry in from my washing line, but it still smells fresh and clean.

Perfect for travelling, and hand washing
Incredibly impressed. I had heard about laundry sheets and also noted the criticisms, but this one does the job. I love how little space it takes, I usually use liquid detergent and whilst I use eco friendly stuff, this one performs just as well (if not better), and takes hardly any space. There is also no plastic involved, which is a huge bonus - so much wasted plastic. The product really comes in handy whilst travelling, I use half a strip for hand washing my clothes, and after one particularly sweaty day I was pleasantly surprised after I did the post-wash sniff test, smelt of ... nothing.
