It's quite sweet, but delicious.

I recently watched a short segment on CNN about this new southern Africa company which uses all of its local ingredients (what a novel idea) to produce this unique hot sauce. Its not like the typical condiments that we have in the South West part of the USA, but still is quite unique and tasty. It's definitely worth the purchase. I think that it will give everyone a new perspective on foods from other locations and cultures.A RECOMMENDATION for the company:: You might want to make both a MILD and MODERATELY spicy versions available on Amazon. Personally - I like things more on the mild side of the spectrum. However - there are many of my countrymen who like both Mild and Moderate levels of heat. I had the privilege of previewing this product in the fall, including bringing a bottle home. I quickly ran out and have been watching for this to arrive in the U.S. Not a dipping sauce, this is a sauce that enhances dishes like eggs -- I need it for my eggs -- vegetables, potatoes, and mild meats. Truly unique, the mild version is not too spicy and the blend of fruit and chiles has a great flavor profile. The marula is an orphaned food, its pits are used for the marula oil that is used in fine cosmetics. Over 300 tons of pulp are discarded as part of the oil extraction process. Maungo Crafts uses this pulp to make hot sauces, jams, and syrups that are distributed in Botswana and, increasingly, South Africa. This is their first product to make it to the U.S. I was so glad to see it that I bought 3 bottles. Definitely what I remember. I had a vegetarian egg dish this morning just to be able to enjoy my hot sauce.

Hot and sweet and good on lots of things. Sometimes when I’m hungry. I’ll just eat it w crackers and cream cheese for a quick snack.

I honestly do not know how to describe this other than "delicious." There is spice, but I would not call it spicy. There is sweetness, but I would not call it sweet. Just a wonderful, unique flavor with lots of depth.

This is a great tasting sauce. The real negative, is the price. Which it was more reasonably price, I’d buy it again if the price was lower.

This condiment is wonderful and unlike anything else available in the US. Small batch, well made, fine quality, highly recommended.

Ordered this on recommendation of a friend who knew I love trying new hot sauces. Is mild to moderately spicy (similar to something like cholula in heat) but has an incredible complex sweet/smoky flavor. Used it as a sauce for chicken quesadillas but I think this would be excellent on chicken, fish, or even pork. Definitely planning to keep a bottle of this in the fridge. Will make great gifts for a few other hot sauce aficionados as well.
