Love
If you're new to the wonderful world of rainbow, you won't "get it" right away. These sandals come stiff as a board. They're uncomfortable and make you think people spending $55+ for flip flops actually are nuts. I bought these for my bf hoping he would come to understand my love of this shoe. Give them a week or two, and you'll be a new member of the people that are nuts for rainbows crew. They are hands down, the best all terrain, walking, hiking, biking, beach, city, shorts, pants, anything shoe. It can be 100 degeees, or 40 degrees, and you'll be reaching for your rainbows. They will mold perfectly to your foot and endure just about anything. As the years go by, you'll know it's time to order another pair, or retire them out of circulation, but yet somehow you'll still find yourself reaching for your beloveds. I'm partial to the brown family (waaay too many colors to list) when it comes to this shoe, but happy to say, another rainbow success story here!

So comfortable. Worth the price. Great Shoes.
Rainbows are my favorite brand of flip-flops. Hands down. I have been buying them since college (10 years ago) and will keep buying them into the future. I am back in college, in grad school, and studying abroad this summer and ordered a new pair so I would be able to walk around comfortably this summer.Whenever I get a new pair it takes a few days to break them in- so I encourage you to allow them time to mold to your foot. I got a blister, as I did with the last pair, from how the band rubs against the top of my foot. But - it quickly heals and the shoe becomes perfect, fits great, super comfortable. This time I ordered double thickness, which is a few dollars more, I think it is worth the extra few dollars. My dad gave me a pair of rubber Rainbows for Christmas this year. They are okay, super comfortable also, and will probably last longer, but I still like the leather ones better. The leather feels nicer against the skin. They have a lifetime warranty if the strap breaks. But that is not really going to happen. Because the warranty is null and void if the bottom or top wears through first. I have never had a pair of flip flops from any decent brand where the strap broke before there was some noticeable wear.I live in Florida- so we wear flip-flops a lot- it is part of our culture. I live in the panhandle- so we prefer to be barefoot- if I am outside of work, church, or 'the club' - and I have to wear shoes these are the ones I want to be wearing.I have some friends who refuse to pay $50 for a pair of flip-flops. Obviously, I disagree. These shoes are a great value for the dollar.I am reviewing these shoes in an effort to help other Amazon customers by relaying my experience with the product and providing any insight I garnered. I would really appreciate that if you found my review helpful, that you would please indicate so below by clicking the YES button below.

If you have a size 14 feet, try the XXL instead of XXXL, but beware of break-in period
I am a size 14 and had a hard time deciding originally which size flops I should buy. A couple years ago, I got the XXXL (3XL) made for 13.5-15 but I thought that those were too big and looked rather silly on me. I had about 3/4 of an inch behind my heel of sandal leftover, which would get stepped on frequently in crowded places from people behind me (read: flat tires). Also, the strap seemed made for a fatter foot and it caused me to FLOP loudly at times when walking. Although that pair of Rainbows lasted more than 2 years, I knew when it was time to replace them that I would get a size smaller. So I got the XXL (2XL) made for 12-13.5 but did just fit my size 14 feet (very little room to spare). Admittedly, the strap was really tight and I had to endure a few blisters between my toes while breaking them in for about a week. However, now they feel great and comfortably snug, so no more loud flopping and no more flat tires from people behind me.Rainbows are great sandals and my old ones lasted a couple years before wearing out the bottom, so I know the quality will be good. They are really comfortably (once you get past the break in period, which allows the strap to be comfortable and the sole of the sandal to mold to your foot. If you haven't had them before, I'd recommend "splurging" on this pair in whatever color you like. I'll continue owning a pair.

Rainbows current sandals not as good as those I bought in the past (90s)
What has happened with Rainbow Sandals? This was always my go to sandal. I remember going down to San Clemente and buying a pair in the early 90s that lasted perfectly all the way to 2000.. But the current pairs I have bought wear out quickly though I don't wear them except in the house or locally. They shouldn't wear down that quickly. One pair the leather pulled out and had to be reshipped (the company honored sending me a new pair) but it was a hassle. Also in all these many years of operations they only offer basic colors in the mens' double arch. black, brown, tan and beige. some more cool colors would be nice. Not the same quality as when they first opened. Hmm? sending off to China? using cheaper glues? Yet I admit it is hard to find another sandal as comfortable so though they aren't in the (A range) of many years ago.. they are still an good sandal

Warning: don’t get them wet!!
Update: after 1 and a half years this is what they look like. They got wet from wet feet and pool water splashing on them. The leather cracked from getting wet. This is my review as a wife: 4 stars because they look big on my husband's feet. He wears 10.5 and I couldn't find size 10-11 only 9.5 to 10.5 which reviews said ran small. So I ordered size 10.5 to 12 and it's fine in the toe area but there is about an inch of sandal behind his heel.Husband's review: 5 stars. He doesn't care if they look big. He says they are comfortable. He lives in his flip flops even though we live in Washington. It's literally December and he's in flip flops. He just tore up a pair of reefs after less than a year. He decided to go back to Rainbow because his previous pair lasted many years. Rainbow brand has been the best quality by far and lasts the longest.
