Recently, I began to notice a callous-like growth of skin on an index finger's first knuckle. It was about 1" x 1/2". I could use an emery file to sand it down but it would grow back rather quickly. After doing research on what could cause this type of skin growth, it became obvious that this was likely an indicator of a vitamin A deficiency. I had a vitamin A deficiency once before but with a different symptom. I began to take one capsule every day for a week then dropped back to three times per week. Gradually, the tough skin growth began to lessen. After a little over a month, it's almost gone.I have also begun to incorporate more vitamin A rich foods (dark leafy greens) in my diet. But the Vitamin A boost from this supplement really quickly built up vitamin A in my system.
