A bit pricey - but worth it
I had buyer’s remorse after spending so much on this curling wand - that is until I used it for the first time! I love it. Fairly easy to figure out after a few tries and boy does the curl stay! I can keep the style through the next day with a bit of dry shampoo. Doesn’t take long to curl either.

Love this iron except that the on/off switch is located where you hold the iron to use and easily turns off without you knowing it. They should redesign this one thing. Other than that this curling iron is the bomb!

Not a cute curl pattern
I really wanted to love the oval but it did not make a cute wave pattern. Heats up well but looks weird. Even worse second day

Best curling product ever
This is the first tool that has actually worked with my hair. I have very straight fine hair that falls out of normal curls in minutes, but somehow this rod works its magic and actually makes my hair hold a curl. You also don't have to be a beauty pro to use it. With the glove and grippy bumps on the rod, it's very user friendly. Worth every penny if you want great curls or brushed out for great waves!!

Never been a fan of curling rods/irons, and still am not, but it is a personal prejudice
I should say this is my own prejudice. I love the shape but when I used the glove, I had no dexterity to curl properly. When I didn't, I burned my fingers! I have always found that cheap irons, expensive irons like this one both make my hair feel dry and porous. The curls also don't last. When I use steam curlers, they last, and frankly, my hair looks healthier (because it is! no dry metal, just steam); the curls are "springy" and last.BUT, if you have already mastered the art of a curling rod and like how they curl your hair, you will love this iron for the shape. There are cheaper ones out there but if you curl almost daily or daily, I'd get a good one. Less likely to fry your hair.

This product was great for the first year I had it
This product was great for the first year I had it. I would use it approx 2-3 times a month and it curled ver well. But for over $130 for the rod you would hope it would last for more than a year when not used on a daily basis. The rod simply stopped working - does not turn on or heat up - after owning for one year. Just when the warranty ran out. Would not recommend.

Nice iron.
Seems to work great on my hair. My hair wants to curl, but this iron makes nice curls and they look more uniform than a regular iron. No pulling hair out with the clamp. Curls last all day long.

Quick and Easy Styling
The Sultra The Bombshell Rod Curling Iron I really like. I am able to quickly and easily achieve the styles for my hair that I was hoping to get from a styling tool such as this. For the higher price tag, I assumed this would have a few more features like beeping when I've held a curl long enough ( 8 seconds per instructions) or an option to adjust the heat but it doesn't. Because it doesn't have these features, I am taking a a star off just because I feel for the price these important and somewhat expected features should have been implemented. The features this curling iron does have is that it heats up very quickly, there's a 9-foot no-tangle swivel cord, an auto-shut off safety feature, and it's light-weight. Included is a styling glove and an iron pad to rest the iron on when needing to place it down while styling your hair.My hair is very long. It's thick and normally quite wavy. That being said, I do have to spend some time on my hair for certain styles. I typically use this iron to achieve a few ringlets here and there but not all over. The results come out great when paired with heat protection sprays applied first. The Curling iron is easy to use. There is one power switch which goes up and down i.e off and on. I haven't accidentally bumped it off when styling. Since there is no adjustable heat settings, there's nothing else to fiddle with. You simply wait about a minute and the iron is ready to use. When styling it's important to use the glove so you don't accidentally burn yourself. When wrapping and getting to the last bit of that hair to curl my fingers get pretty close to the heating unit so I am glad the glove is included. The amount of time needed for each curl to set will fully depend on how much hair your grab at once. If it's a smaller, thinner amount I would suggest 8 seconds but it's a thicker amount 15 seconds may be better. There will be trial and error to find what best works so a learning curve is necessary.I can style my hair with this tool and results can last for a couple of days. I am quite pleased with the look I get and how no-brainer this tool is to use. I didn't get any weird bumps or things like others have mentioned in their reviews. I am including pictures of my waves and ringlets with my post so you can see the results I got. There is a two-year warranty on this product which is great for the money you'll be shelling out on it. I feel the price is reasonable for the high-quality hair styling you can achieve. The product is solid and does what it should minus a few features I hope they'll add to their next model.
