Classic Mancala Game - Features A Full-Sized, Solid Wooden Board with Exquisite Detail Stones by Pressman For 2 Players

I've never played Mancala before but it was under $8 and I bought this set. The "wells" or pockets need to be larger, too many tokens can get stacked up and they overflow, sometimes making it hard to keep track of which pocket they belong too. The wood is a little rough and not "pretty" but you get what you pay for. The instructions seemed to have left out a few standard rules so we looked them up online as we did not know how to proceed with some situations that were not outlined in the rules. Overall, not bad, but not great.

I'll start by saying there is nothing WRONG with this product. Game play is possible, it has everything listed in the description, I would just say the description is generous.The carvings into the wood are sloppy and rough, so be carful of splinters if you're trying to clean them out. The pockets are small, but workable. The "gems" are different sizes (I like) but can be tough to keep in the pockets if you have more than 5. I painted the carving to help kids learn how to play so I won't post a picture, but if you want a cheap version, this is definitely it. I regret not getting a foldable version, but whatever, $10 and you get what you spend.

Holes are not deep enough to hold more than 4 pieces, which is the whole point of the game. Look elsewhere

Unplayable, because the pieces don't fit in the holes.

The slots are supposed to hold 4 of these little marbles, but they aren’t deep enough to hold more than 2. This makes it difficult when actually playing the game because the slots cannot possibly hold five or six or more marbles… The game itself is great, but this particular board is cheap and I would recommend purchasing a board at a higher price point.
