Recommend these for warm, dry climates, out of direct sun. In Southern California, I had many "gazing" balls which held up well. Here in Virginia, after reading about how many of these IN GENERAL crack during a freezing winter, I chose not to keep them. If your weather is not extreme, I highly recommend these; they are beautiful and appear to be VERY well made.

I was a little disappointed that it's recommended to bring this in in Winter. But, it is Beautiful!

I was looking for a gazing ball or globe that didn't have a stem because of the stand I bought. This was not an easy task. My globe has more browns and blues and is beautiful. I do run outside and move it if hail is in the forecast, but it seems very sturdy. I really like it and recommend it if you are looking for a gazing ball that does not have a stem.

Purchased as a xmas gift and went by the picture shown.What I received wasn't colorful-mostly brown tones! Also sticker on it that would not come off easily made in china! Had to use oil n rub off for some time! Box was damaged with several holes!Globe wasn't broken. Unsure now of gifting.

I consider this a good value.The ball is well made and the drip glaze is beautiful.I would like the glaze to have a little less brown, but still I am considering buying a second one.Very happy with this gazing ball.

These are beautiful, but the colors don't match the picture in the item description.I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again though because they're so lovely. They seem quite sturdy. I don't think they'll be damaged by falling branches, though they are ceramic, so dropping something heavy on them wouldn't be good for their longevity. Oh, and they're hollow, so I've driven wood stakes into the ground and placed these over the stakes, so they don't roll away.

The globe is absolutely gorgeous! If you like teal and brown/orange shades, oh my! Sadly, mine came to me totally shattered. I picked up a broken piece to at least see part of it. All I could think was, "What a stinking shame that something so beautiful broke." I prepared to do my return/exchange, but it's not an immediate process. For one, they won't replace it. They have you reorder another. Also, you're refunded your money upon THEIR approval. Yes, they actually send you a form that tells you that you will be granted a refund. This took at least two days. Then, I had to request a prepaid return label which I was told was attached to my "refund approval". It was nowhere attached that I could see, so I politely requested a new label. That was given to me within hours. This globe was unique- a one of a kind, but I'm so scared to order another and get it broken too. It literally looked like someone had put the box above their head and slammed it on the ground, it was in so many pieces. The craftsmanship was excellent. If I knew I could do a second attempt and it would not be broken, I'd do it immediately. It's just so disheartening to be so excited to open something, and then see it beyond repair knowing it has to be thrown out. Such a shame.
