These Actually Work GREAT!!! However, This is 30 Loads Unless Using In RV Washers. Great for RVs
Color me shocked!!!! We have two dogs that love our bed. They lay on it in the daytime and sleep with us at night so our poor quilt gets quite the mess as I have shown in a couple of pictures above. This is a king size summer weight quilt that I washed in my front loader at home. I used a full 4" x 4" sheet for this quilt and for all of my loads of laundry in my front loader at home. For me, this means that there are 30 loads in this 30 pack of washer sheets. However, in my RV front loader, I can get 120 loads from these little sheets by first tearing them in half along the perforation and cutting that in half again. They work great, are easy to haul around in the camper and add minimal weight and space requirements to my RV--which is VERY important in an RV! One thing that I suggest if you are using them in an RV is to put them in a ziplock bag or rubbermaid container that is waterproof and will keep the humidity from getting to them because they will become stuck to each other if they get wet. I can't say enough good about these for the RV!!!!Now, back to home use. My front loader there is very large (it will do king size comforters with ease) so I get 30 loads from this package. This makes these just over 83 cents per load to use which is a bit pricey. They are easy to carry in and store and they do work great! One of these 4x4 sheets got that really dirty summer weight quilt completely clean! I mean spotless! Color me shocked!!! I haven't had the best luck with some of these products but this one really does the job! These do have a very subtle fragrance but not much and there is no fragrance after drying the load. I have had no skin problems from using these sheets. They really are amazing in how well they work whether it is the really grungy quilt or my stinky clothes, these have done a great job and I like them very much. These are made in Canada.

Convenient but does it work?
I applaud the thought of this product BUT this is not for everyone! If you live alone, doesn’t sweat a lot, work on dirty place, gets dirty and uses light kind of clothes then this is for YOU.For a family like me most dominated by male, this is not working! Sweat still lingers eventhough this have a nice floral scent which I love. Doesn’t really remove stains so that is useless for us coz my boys gets dirty all the time.Doesn’t really make the whites white and if you are washing heavy loads (bed sheets, rugs) this doesn’t seem to give out that fresh scent that I am use to.I even use Baking soda and washing soda to help with my laundry so that seems to work a little.Again, this product works depends on your kind of lifestyle and laundry.Definitely NOT for us though!

Space saving and great for traveling
I love using laundry detergent sheets because they’re compact and saves a ton of space. It is especially important to me because I live in a small NYC apartment where space is value real estate. I wash my laundry in small loads, usually one top, one bottom, a bra and a pair of socks so half a sheet is enough for one small load. The sheets melt nicely in hot or cold water and leaves no residue. The sheets are perforated in the middle. The size is smaller than most laundry sheets I’ve used but still provide a good amount of suds and keeps my clothes looking and smelling clean. Leaves a subtle scent behind. Haven’t noticed any sensitivity after using these laundry sheets. Excellent for traveling, takes up no room in the luggage. Pricey at $25 for 120 small loads. I think 10 cents per small load is more like it.

Ingredients not on label or website
These detergent sheets work fine, but the label directs you to their website for the ingredients. I looked and could not find the list of ingredients for the product on their website. I like to know what the ingredients are in my laundry detergent. For this reason I would not order this product again, but if you're not picky about ingredients then go for it.

Convenient and effective
These laundry detergent sheets work surprisingly well. They dissolved completely and my laundry smelled clean even with the unscented version. I don’t think I would use this on heavily soiled loads as it wasn’t great at getting out stains. I like how compact it is to store these as opposed to the big plastic jugs and how convenient and mess-free it is to use them. These would be great to travel with too.

No scent
No scent and have to add a little more than directed. Also added stain lifter seems to help on having clothes smell super clean

Convenient
Laundry sheets are nice to take with you if you're that person that goes on vacation and rents a house. Aside from being convenient for that kind of travel they're nice at home because they take up less space. I do need to use the max amount because my washer is large. I also recommend tossing in some Borax or washing soda if it's a stinky load. That's only if it's a particularly soiled and disgusting load though. On lightly soiled clothes and smaller loads they work just fine.

Neat alternative to liquid or powdered detergent - No fuss measuring
I like my unscented laundry detergents. I want my clothes to be clean and not to smell like whatever they were initially dirtied with - nor do I want them to smell like sunshine and rainbows that make me sneeze and itch. This detergent has zero scent. The strips are strange - they kind of feel like a really thin sheet of styrofoam, but I guess it’s just concentrated/dehydrated detergent? I didn’t watch to see if it made any suds or anything, but my clothes came out clean, for the most part. I still had a few rags that smelled a bit funky and will need to go through the wash again, but overall, it does a good job. I really like that there is no fuss getting this stuff in the machine. Just toss a strip or two in with the clothes and you’re good to go. No measuring based on “lines” and trying to determine if every last drop of the thick blue liquid has dripped out of the cup and into your machine - did I under pour? Should I put more in to account for what sticks to the cup? I always spill a little bit of it, but I can’t deny the ability to spot treat stains with the same soap you’re planning to wash the clothes with. I can’t see being able to spot treat with these strips, unless you dissolve one in water first and use that? I might have to try it. Overall, this feels very novel, weighs much less, takes up very little space and has much less packaging than what I’m used to using. Pricer than what I normally buy, but I think I kind of like it.

leans Equally Well, but is More Expensive than Regular Detergent
These laundry detergent sheets from Basic Goods Trading Company provides an alternative solution to doing laundry. It’s an innovative way of saving the environment while still proving an effective way to clean clothes.I have a frontload washer and I ripped the sheet up into smaller pieces and placed them in the detergent dispenser and it worked well. It has a refreshing clean scent that is not strong, yet clothes come out smelling clean and fresh. It does a good job of cleaning clothes and is comparable to my current detergent. I like that is it easy and convenient to use. Just tear off what you need. No mess and fuss with a no measuring cup.I like that these are hypoallergenic, free of paraben, phosphates, phthalates, bleaches, and dyes. These laundry detergent sheets are gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. This is important for me as my kids have very sensitive skinThese detergent laundry sheets are also a space saver; they are compact and tucks away nicely without taking up a lot of room.Overall, this is an eco-friendly solution that yields the same results, but at $32.95 for 60 loads and 55 cents per load, it is quite a bit more expensive than my regular detergent.

Works great! Dissolves in seconds!
The media could not be loaded. As you can see in the video the sheets dissolve in seconds with little agitation! This video was just for demo! You don't need to do this for your loads. It fits perfectly in my detergent dispenser. I did notice a little goo in the dispenser after use. So I think this would work better if I just toss it in the machine drum! So as you can see it's super easy to use. Great for travelling! Just throw a few in a baggy. No need to lug around a heavy jug! Take what you need and leave the rest! Seems to wash my clothes well. No overwhelming scents. The only issue I have with these is the price!!! It's currently priced at $33 or 55 cents a load! That's double the price of most laundry sheets! For us we always go with the more affordable options!

Cleans well and leaves no real fragrance
While these are unscented, don't be surprised to smell that they still have a bit of a fragrance as a sheet. After the wash you won't be left with any particular lingering scent, despite getting the laundry nice and clean. This isn't my first time trying laundry detergent sheets, the ones I previously used being the True Earth ones. They work the same way and they're priced very similarly. I had a little more trouble with these ones fully dissolving in my front load washer so it takes a bit more experimenting on the optimal way to make it fully dissolved and not leaving blotches of determent smears on your clothes. In terms of how clean it worked, they're also very comparable to True Earth's unscented, though the Platinum Unscented are a notch better for tougher smells (athletic wear for instance). This can be remedied by adding a half strip more, which can be easily torn by hand or by scissors--for those who never used laundry strips these feel like craft foam but thinner and easier to tear (and better for the environment).I do not typically have skin sensitivity to laundry detergent so I cannot necessarily comment on that aspect, but I could say with certainty that I did not experience any skin sensitivity with these either.Overall, I think these are a pretty compelling product. They work well and they are unscented as they claim. They are a bit more expensive than your standard HE liquid detergent but they also take up far less space. For front loaders, they do take a bit more experimenting on how to distribute the strip for full dissolving (I do half strip in the detergent tray and half strip ripped to smaller pieces on top of my clothes) but truly these are a better way forward for something like laundry detergent. Did I mention these are also made in Canada? so less environmental impact on packaging, shipping (distance, weight AND volume).

Would be a great eco-friendly alternative, but there is no ingredient information to know for sure
As someone who wishes to do my part to mitigate climate change, I am always looking for ways to do things in a more eco-friendly manner. So, when I saw Basic Goods Trading Company Laundry Detergent Strips on offer, I was only too happy to give them a try to see if they are a viable alternative to conventional detergents.First off, the packaging is perfect! It’s just a kraft paper envelope, so it’s recyclable and biodegradable which is definitely much more eco-friendly than those huge plastic tubs you get with conventional detergents. But, there are other benefits to this packaging, too. This envelope is a lot lighter and easier to handle than a big, plastic tub filled with detergent, so this is a great alternative for the elderly, the injured, and the disabled. Also, this envelope certainly takes up much less space than a bottle of detergent, so if you lack storage, this would be a great alternative to conventional detergent!Opening up the envelope, the strips come attached, so you need to detach them before using. They look and feel kinda weird…almost like a very thin slice of foam. I got the Spring Breeze scent and it is your typical floral + fresh linen detergent scent, but it’s also very subtle. I’d actually prefer a scent-free detergent, but a subtle scent is better than the overpowering scents you get from conventional detergent. These strips are hypoallergenic and are free from parabens, phosphates, phthalates, bleaches, and dyes, which is great news for the environment! But, that said, now that we know what’s not in it, it sure would be nice to know what *is* in it, unfortunately, Basic Goods Trading Company does not make that information openly known…it’s not on the packaging, it’s not on this product page, and it doesn’t appear on their website, either…this is not good news for those of us who are serious about making eco-friendly changes in our lives…we need and deserve to know what’s in the products we spend our hard-earned money on.Before using this in a load of my laundry, I decided to try putting a strip in a pail of cold water, just to see how well it dissolves. To my surprise, it dissolved within seconds and I only stirred the water with my hand a few times before the soap had totally dissolved. So, after that, I felt it was safe to try it in my wash, but I had a problem. I have a front-load washing machine and instructions say to break up a strip and put it in the detergent dispenser. So, to my chagrin, I followed these instructions, only to find that I was left with a gooey mess in my detergent dispenser afterwards that needed to be cleaned out. So, I decided to re-wash the load, but this time, I threw a strip right in with my laundry and this worked much better. So, I would suggest to you that, if you have a front-load washer like me, you either just throw the strip right in with your laundry or you could break it up and throw it in…whatever you feel better doing…just DON’T put it in your detergent dispenser. Doing it this way worked much better for me…the strip dissolved without issue and my laundry was cleaned when done. Now, just like any other detergent, these strips aren’t going to get heavy stains out on their own, so you are going to need to apply stain remover to your stains and follow directions accordingly before washing. These strips do remove minor stains and I found they also remove odours, but I would suggest that, rather than using half a strip for a regular load and a full strip for a big load, you use a full strip for regular loads and two strips for big loads. I just don’t think half a strip cuts it for most loads. Using the strips in this manner got my laundry good and clean and destroyed all of the nasty odours, even in my workout gear and the hubs’ work clothes! I also want to say, I have very sensitive skin and I haven't experienced any skin irritation from using these strips, which is a major bonus. And now we come down to what will probably be the biggest con against these laundry strips for most people…the price. At $32.95 for 60 strips, this is much more expensive than using conventional detergent by faaaaaar. Breaking it down, that’s $0.55 per strip. If you use them as directed and use only half a strip per regular load, then you’re looking at about $0.27 per load, which is a little better, but I don’t feel that half a strip cleans a regular load like I like it…your mileage may vary. However, I do feel the extra cost is worth it, not just for the eco-friendly aspect, but also convenience-wise, too. These are great for traveling, for instance. The reality is that you are going to pay much more for eco-friendly products because they are generally made by smaller companies, but as this sort of thing goes, these strips are priced within the range of similar products. My biggest argument against these strips is the lack of information about the ingredients that went into making them and without that information, I won’t be buying these again, which is a shame because I really do like them otherwise. I hope this review has helped you in your quest to find a more eco-friendly laundry detergent!
