This until is a good idea! But sadly I can only give it 2.5 stars...Pros: Works great as a horizontal holder to view maps, watch streaming video, or make video calls.When fan works it keeps phone cool.When wireless charger connects, its a strong and fast charge.Cons: Dose NOT like direct sunlight. Unit heats up and gets finicky when in direct sun.Sluggish in cold temperatures, if it even opens.Sensor doesn't always work.Dosen't like thick cases.Fan Dosen't always pop up and work.Hard to make a wireless charge connection with some cases.*Even with more Cons then pros (as of now) this unit has a lot of potential. When it functions within parameters its a great little holder.I would recommend it but with hesitancy...

I'm happy with this. I can't bring myself to clip a bracket to my vent. And I don't like the holders that stick to the windshield. It is a little big.

The type of case on your phone counts and you have to mount to me perfectly clean surface.If you keep your phone in one of those tough cases then you may have difficulty getting connection with the charging pad on this device.. you may need to change your case in order for this to work. When you mount this to your dashboard. You should clean it with 91% alcohol first. Any protective cleaners that you may have use will even oily slick finish or waxy finish on your dashboard and this will prevent proper adhesion.Overall, I really like this charger. It works well at the moment. I’ll update my review after I’ve use it for a few months.If the manufacturer happens to read this review, a better design for the charger pad would be to have a quarter inch recess in the lower portion quarter inch wide And about 2 mm in depth. This little loud the phone to make proper contact while in a sturdy case.

I live in Florida. The tiny fan isn't gonna keep your phone cool at all. The adhesion wasn't great despite me already having a plastic surface that it should've bonded to well. I'm I have a $10 gel case around my phone and the charger basically doesn't work. It charges for 10 secs and then disconnects. Not worth it in my opinion. Arrived on time, no issues with shipping

So the idea is great, but implementation is horrible. First off, it runs through what I'm assuming a motor startup check every time you turn your car on. After ~10 seconds after turning your car on, it makes winding up noises. Not bad I guess, as I can just unplug it when I don't need it. That being said, you cannot open it without power if you just want to use it as a mount.When you do use it, the opening and closing is rather neat and I enjoy that, but that fan is LOUD. It overtakes my radio. During long drives, unless my radio is basically maxed, I'm going to hear it the entire drive.The charging is meh at best. Did a 2 hour drive yesterday with only google maps, and the wireless charger couldn't keep up with the power usage. Went from 90% battery to 80% battery by the time I got there. Still, for a 2 hour drive of constant GPS usage, it did fine and my phone staid alive, but just plugging it in would always fully charge my phone by the time I get to where I was going.The mount was kinda confusing. Their video in the description states it's firmly on there, and road conditions wouldn't effect it. They also included a side by side comparison. Just driving down the highway, the mount bobbled quite a bit, more than any of my other mounts. I mean, it's usable, but felt funny that they advertised that specifically, but the actual was so different.I'm keeping it for now because it does have some conveniences, but you should all know the drawbacks.*EDIT 8/15*I'm lowering this to 1 star. I found a horrible issue with this with 3 different phones. After ~ 20 minutes of use or so, it stops charging. The phone stops it, though, as this thing overheats ALL of the phones I've put into it to the point it was going into battery protect mode.THIS CHARGER WILL CAUSE YOUR PHONE TO HEAT UP TO DANGEROUS LEVELS THAT IT FORCES WIRELESS CHARGING TO STOP!

Purchased 3 of these charger mounts. If the car is any at all warm inside the charger flashes red and blue and will not charge my phone. After about 20 minutes into my drive with the AC blasting the mount "which is made to go on the dash in the sun" finally will start to charge. I can only utilize the wireless charging feature at night due to this built in flaw. The temperature protection is too sensitive. Another issue is the lid vibrates like crazy and makes a terrible plastic clacking noise from the smallest bumps or vibrations from the vehicle. When the charger finally decides that the temperature is sufficient to charge it has a mind of its own either fast charging or trickle charging, which one it chooses is a roll of the dice. Wish I didn't give the 3 I bought a chance and could get my $100 back.

This is the best phone holder I have ever used. It stays in place. Holds the phone in place and does not obstruct the view of the window.
