The Global Network is not fast
I thought I was getting 5G product which is my fault for not reading the entire description, however I was prepared to keep it if it worked. It did work but the down load speed was less than 3 and upload did not exist here in the midlands UK, you cannot check the speed because you have to use their servers to connect I sent it back and bought another product more expensive and much faster

Abysmal
No matter what mobile data sim I put in. I can not connect to the Internet through it. I shall be sending back for a full refund!!!!I'd suggest saving your money

Good backup for internet at home but certainly not mobile
This 4G LTE WiFi Router gives you an internet connection via a cellular data connection. It has a built-in SIM that will connect through any mobile network that is available, or you can use your own data SIM if you have one. It comes with 1GB of free data so you can just plug it in, let it find and connect to a mobile network, connect your phone or computer to its WiFi network and you are on the Internet.Setting up is quite easy. You download the GlocalMe app to your phone, start it up and sign in or create an account with them. Once that is done you add the router by scanning the QR code on the bottom of the device using your phone's camera.Once you've added it to the app you can then go into your WiFi settings on the phone, tablet or computer and select the WiFi network of the router. It creates two separate networks, one 2.4GHz and one 5GHz. The password is printed on a label on the bottom of the unit.A small green LED on the front of the unit indicates that it is connected to a mobile network and provided you have a decent signal you can access the internet. Where I live mobile networks are quite poor but it managed to find one and I was getting around 3Mbps which is pretty good considering most of the time I can't get a signal with my phone. If you have a good mobile signal you can expect faster speeds. As well as WiFi the router has three RJ45 connectors on the rear so you can connect a computer using an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi.Using the App you can purchase data bundles when the free 1GB expires although I found these to be quite expensive. I have my own Data SIM that I use with a travel router so I popped that into the slot in the rear of the router. Once I changed the settings to tell it to use my SIM rather than the built-in one it connected to my network provider and I could then use the internet through it.Although the description says it is mobile I would disagree. It is too big to carry around. I use it as a backup in my home office for if my main internet connection goes down for any reason. I also use it in a static caravan to create a WiFi network which is great for connecting the TV to the internet.Their online support is very responsive. I had a question about getting into the settings (the default password for the admin account is 'admin') so went to the GlocalMe website and used the online chat. They answered very quickly and got me sorted within a couple of minutes.

Okay
Connected this up and thought initially it was good, I don’t think it’s a long term replacement for the manufacturer fitted device i already had. I think in some cases this should work fine with certain providers as it is well built but the experience for me wasn’t effective. It’s probably not this device but more so my provider. Came packaged well in its branded box and is nice to hold too. Good quality build

Relies on good local 4g
I was hoping this would be the answer to my prayers for a portable wifi to take to my caravan. After testing it at home I think I am going to be disappointed. Admittedly 4g around home is one bar on my phone so it could work better in other areas (I will update the review if I find this is the case). I turned our home broadband off before I tested this product. Surfing was very slow and streaming was impossible. The idea of this thing is great and it was very easy to set up. Plug and play and then download the app, which was also easy to set up. It includes 1gb of data which lasts 90 days. You can then buy more data through the app which to me seems quite expensive compared to sim free deals available. For example monthly pass for uk 50gb full speed 36 euros (£31). I presume this means 50gb download limit and not unlimited download maximum 50gb speed (I have asked the question). You can insert your own sim which I haven't tested because no point with the speed being so slow.Update 6/6/22My concerns about not being any good for my caravan were unfounded. The 4g signal is excellent here in Flamborough with a Smarty sim (£16 a month unlimited data). I can stream Netflix/Amazon Prime/Disney+/BBC IPlayer on the tv and ipad (also sky go on the ipad). The aim of the supplier of this box is for you to buy airtime directly from them, and though convenient that is very expensive. At least they give you the sim option. When I contacted them to find out how to check if my sim was being used they were initially reluctant to tell me. Recommending that I simply pay them through the inbuilt system. It was only when I went back to them and said I was doing this review for Vine and needed to report on the effectiveness of using my own sim that I received instructions! Their response I can report was very quick (even before they knew I was doing this review). This is now a 5star product for me, however I have knocked one star off for their airtime prices and reliance on strong local 4g.

Great for moving!
This has been a life saver while we moved house - working from home with no Internet wasn't an option and while we were waiting to be connected we used this. Worked flawlessly - easy to set up and use with the app, passwords and username are located on the underside and it even came with a gb of data included - topping up however wasn't cheap, nice to have the option and it's very easy, although for a longer term use I would suggest looking at getting a data sim which can be used with this. We're no longer using this as our primary device as its just not as fast as our fibre-optic connection - however whenever we lose connection (unfortunately pretty regularly) then we get this up and running to save the day. It stated its portable, which arguably it is, however it's not exactly pocket friendly- actually larger than our normal router. However for a caravan or RV this would be fine.Overall, really impressed - only let down was the price of data should you choose to buy direct.
