AIRCATPneumatic Tools 805-HT-5 High Torque Ratchet Wrench 130 ft-lbs - 1/2-Inch

This is my second aircat tool.First one was one of their impact wrenches, i was very impressed with the value and the power of the tool.When my trusty kolbalt air ratchet kicked the bucket, i decided it was time to upgrade.I was not dissapointed!Lots of power, it does help to keep two hands on the tool!I found i need to be very careful when tightening, it's very easy to over power things...I do wish it had an easy way to adjust the torque like my old kolbalt could.Another thing i did not like much, the direction switch takes some getting useto.While solid and easy to use, however the forward and reverse arrows seem misleading with a quick glance.The tool is also very long and thick, not the best for tight areas, this will likely result in my purchasing a smaller/compact unit.Overall a nice tool, and the extra power is very handy.I will also notr that i have a quincy 2 stage 60 gallon compressor, with air lines setup for painting (very dry), and for airflow.I'm also using "v style" high flow air fittings.

Great for the auto tech, works just as good as snap on or matco for way less money, had for over a year no issues, i like how u can turn the exhaust to blow away from where ur working

This tool works great. It is strong and last. Great value for the money. It is a little noisy, not that big of a deal for me. I would recommend. I also own 2 of the 1/4" drive Aircats they are also great.

Awesome power for an air Rachet. Plus this is made in Taiwan and not China. I have found that tools made in Taiwan to be a notch "above" tools made in China. This is consistent among other tools as well. I do not plan to use this to tighten any fasteners only to loosen them. On tightening fasteners I believe there is too much torque applied and it seems likely that heads could be broken off if used to tighten. I am now a buyer of Air Cat tools since they have many air tools on the market. You also get a two year warranty with Air Cat unlike a one year as with most other brands. Clear part illustrations. A catalog of other Air Cat tools was also included. I chose the 1/2 inch drive Rachet since I have some 3/8 inch impact sockets and if you need to use a 3/8 inch socket just use a 1/2 inch to 3/8 adaptor. Quality is Excellent as is fit and finish. No more Made in China Tools for me. Air Cat is Taiwan made. Most tools from China have quality issues and poor English instructions. Would I buy this again ? Absolutely. At last I have an air Rachet with enough power to fit in a confined space.

I’ve used this a few times and have been pretty impressed. I’m by no means a mechanic by trade but I work on my own vehicles. I’ve done motor mounts and taken a lot of other bolts and nuts off that I used to do with a hand ratchet or wrench. It has made jobs go faster. I haven’t had a nut or bolt it hasn’t broke loose. Like all air tools keep it oiled and make sure you have the recommended pressure to run it.

I must lead by saying that I ended up returning this product. I used it on about 10 bolts replacing a clutch, tried it on a number of others, and didn't find it very useful. I was expecting something with more oomph, not impact level, but something that could bust bolts off. This just didn't do it for me. It will throw you, so use two hands, but despite that it didn't break most of the bolts I tried it on. Perhaps on a car that isn't 23 years old it would zip bolts off. I had to keep switching to my pneumatic impact.I gave the product 4 stars because I can see how it could be really useful, it is very well made, and relatively quiet. Feels solid in the hand and operates well. It just wasn't useful for me. I found that it was good for running bolts back on, and I did that a few times. Given that I was working in my driveway in surburbia I ended up going back to a regular ratchet. The neighbors didn't need to hear air tools for 2 long days.The size and weight is really nice for working on your back if you work off jack stands. The head is pretty small and may be useful in an engine bay. Obviously loads of other people love this tool, and I can see how it would be super useful. I wanted to like it but just didn't end up finding it useful.One thing I really appreciate is Amazon's return policy. No hassle at all, it is really lovely. I hope that somebody else can get their hand on this ratchet and it is useful for them. Keep up the good work Amazon.

Plenty of power and compact and light enough to reach one handed into tight places to get the job done.

I got this for a rebuilt on a piece of equipment. Paid for its self twice before i was half done!! Air gun couldn’t get into it so I went looking for a high torque ratchet and came across thisIt does an awesome job yes u have to watch where your fingers are and make sure your wrist is ready for it too cause this thing will hurt u if your not carefulYes it’s louder but if your making power u normally got to make some noise and this things making torqueIf you got some tight places and bigger bolts that air gun can’t get to this thing can do itI don’t use it often but when I do it saves a lot of time compared to hand ratcheting it off even threw rust it will power threw itMust have tool !

Very powerful for an air ratchet. I have not tested the torque as others have, but you can feel it's there. I knew this was big for an air ratchet, but I was a bit surprised how big. That is the trade-off for all that torque. Quality feels good, trigger control is very good. The F/R selector seems a bit odd but works fine and easily. Exhaust port director is great. For the price, I am very happy with the purchase so far. Shipping speed was excellent.

Works perfectly but be really careful not to pinch your fingers or you'll be in a ton of pain, it is a bit louder then other makes but it does prove to have more power too. I use this tool at work to remove calipers on 53' trailers and it's working just fine.

If you're looking for an air ratchet with torque, this is the one to get. It's larger than a standard 3/8 air ratchet you would find on the shelf at most stores but I can tell you, if any air ratchet is going to get something off it's this one. It's almost ridiculous what this thing can do, since the very first week it was in use it was used to get out old rusted in brake line fittings on a complete hard line replacement job and it didn't even flinch. Be warned though, if this can't remove it and you aren't ready for it, your hand is going to be hurting when it smashes it into whatever is in your way.With that warning in mind, if you absolutely need the highest torque air ratchet out there and are willing to live with it being a little larger than your average 3/8 air ratchet, then I can't recommend enough picking one of these air ratchets up.
