completely adorable
I had to buy this book after checking it out from the library twice. I wish there were more like it. There are not too many Inuktitut books that aren't hopelessly above my reading level. Some things that could have made it more adorable:If you compare the book to her other professional work, the artist/author seems to be "drawing down" to her audience. I don't think she needed to do this. The proofreading and typography are a bit iffy. Sometimes it reads as if it was translated from English into Inuktitut instead of the reverse. ("She went to see her grandmother, Grandmother.") And there's really no exuse for ᓐᖏ (n+ngi) as separate letters. But I still love it.

Five Stars
A beautifully simple story. I love these early illustrations of a talented artist.
