24 Pack Natural Kitchen Sponge - Biodegradable Compostable Cellulose and Coconut Scrubber Sponge - Eco Friendly Sponges for Dishes

I purchased these as a gift in our annual family holiday bingo party with an earth friendly theme. These look like super good sponges AND biodegradable. We all need to think about what is going into the land fills and oceans!  Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer.  I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - nearly 6,000 reviews posted, viewed over 50,000 times, and over 24,000 likes. I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

The sponge I have pictured is after about 2 weeks of use. Once they are a few days old (~5days) they tend to rip apart fairly easily and the scrubby side starts to shed some of the fibers. However, it is still in great shape overall, and cleans and scrubs very well (almost as well as a brand new one!) after a full two weeks. As long as you wring it out and set it to dry after each use, it does not develop the nasty/typical moldy scent that sponges most often do. I also love that it is biodegradable and the price point is awesome. I can get 2-3 weeks of use out of each sponge (at least), and that’s using it literally all day every day- and even after that amount of time, it still has lots of life, I just like to switch them out.When compared to typical sponge brands, the scrub side of this lasts about twice as long. Very, very impressive.Overall, this is a REALLY great product, and I will be a permanent customer. I have no complaints.

We received these sponges as a "green" gift last Christmas and are now giving them to several friends and relatives. The get the job done. They can be cleaned in a washing machine with the cloths and dried in the dryer. Better in every way.

These last way longer than I expected based on reviews. We’ve been using one for over a month. No smell at ALL. Such a good value for the large pack— will easily last a year. 5 stars!!

This is the first time I've tried natural sponges with natural scrubbers on them. I'm impressed with their longevity and endurance. I do have to use a little more elbow grease than I did with the green plastic scratchers, however, I love that it's all natural and that I can just put it in the compost pile after they are done. So far, I haven't worn one out yet, however. And the scrubby part stays well attached to the sponge so far.

These sponges are magic! They’re incredibly durable, free of any chemical smell, seem like they last forever.

I really like these sponges. They are durable and last almost as long as the blue sponges i used to buy. When they wear out, I cut them up and toss them in the compost pile, which I certainly couldn't do with the blue ones.

2 month test, Over all happy and would buy again, but yes coconut shell/ glue come apart after a month.Pro's;*The white sponge is virtually indestructible. Love. But would usually only use for a month max.(germs)*more eco friendly/ recycled(not sure about the glue though, better ways to create that texture me thinks)*Long lasting- tough*quality size- equal parts flexible and good rigid form.Cons;*coconut shell gets bitty, could be a little bit more denser and tougher (scratchier if that makes sense)

I have tried a few other biodegradeable sponges, but found that the scrubby side 'delaminated' from the spongey side quite quickly, and also that they tended to go mouldy quickly.These sponges are a really good substitute for the green scrubby sponges I was using before. They did not come apart the whole time I was using them, or go mouldy. I use 2 at a time so that I can pop them in the dishwasher alternately which works well. Squeeze them out well after each use. Looking forward to chucking them on the compost heap at the end of their life - but currently have just 'retired' the first couple to floor duty.

Super happy with my sponges, better than the normal ones. A little rigid at first but as after a couple of uses it feels absolutely fine. Very absorbent and last reasonably well, received on November 8th 2021 and I still have 4 sponges left). I like the recycle packaging too and mostly importantly the fact that you can dispose of the sponge in your compost! Will be reordering when I have used them all.

I love these biodegradable sponges: they clean well, they’re durable and food doesn’t get stuck to the scratchy side as much as it does with traditional sponges, so that’s a plus. They’re a bit stiff when you first use them, but they become malleable after a few uses (just like traditional sponges after all).

Only just started using my first scourer and no sign of it breaking up yet. Combine with bicarb or vinegar or soda crystals and it cleans almost anything. Nothing to dislike
