The first time I used it inside my house, I didn't think it smelled bad...but it smelled like strong chemical vapor and it made me feel nauseated slightly. Worse, my wife from across the house yelled what's that checmial smell???In comparison, I've used Hoppe's 9 cleaner (not the solvent aerosol can) inside my house multiple times. I never felt nauseated and my wife never asked me what's that smell. It's possible that the spraying made it seem worse than Hoppe's 9. In the future, I think I'll use this only in the garage and only when cleaning my shotgun bore.Meanwhile, I'll buy Hoppe's 9 solven aerosol can to try. I do really like the spraying action, which makes cleaning so much easier.

I was actually surprised how well this worked on carbon and lead fouling. I really bought it just as a "rinse" since it is an aerosol, but to my surprise it pulled out quite a bit of crud on the patch. You still need a good copper solvent but to me this is much better than the other "spray cleaners" on the market...

I use this on my shot guns i recomend it to everyone cleaning guns

works good, however if you have a very old rifle like I do that needs a lot of work, this won't work (I'm talking 100 years of buildup). Cleans great on all my other guns, worth the money for heavily soiled (not 100 years worth) barrels.
