Gotham Knights (PS5)

My sin chose this and is very happy with it. Arrived promptly and great quality game. Very Happy!

This was purchased as a gift for my wife who says it was a fun game to play. She says it was nice to have the option to play as the four different side kicks which mixed up the game play style (although she mainly stuck to one). The main storyline was interesting and introduced new characters, while the game still appealed to Batman fans with the chance to interact with some of the classic villains during the side missions.

I bought this game as my daughter was playing it on PSN for free. Once she got 60% completed they wanted £60 for it. This copy was brand new and sealed for £18. Great value if you ask me.

I'm currently half way through the game at present. I want to start by saying it's an enjoyable, but it isn't entirely impressive, especially when compared with Arkham series. Arkham Knight was 2015 and this was 2022 and it's somewhat disappointing (and shocking!).The premise is interesting, Batman dies and it's up to the rest of the bat family to step up. But it honestly feels like a slog to get through at times, as well as the tedious open world content that plagues a lot of video games now. It's pretty much as others have said, it's just repetitive and grindy: and it feels like it too. I'm not even going to talk about the trophies, not so much aa difficult, but definitely a chore to get through.I feel like there was a lot of wasted potential here. While the four playable characters are decent, I ended up sticking with Batgirl, as she is closest in style of Batman in Arkham. But this ended up similar to Spider-Man (only played the PS4 one), should have been a lot of fun for a superhero game, but bogged down by the repetitive gameplay and missions. It's just designed to push gameplay time into the players.Like I said, despite my complaints and the issues, it's an ok game. But don't expect Arkham levels of quality. The only real positive is it's co-op online, which makes it more bearable with a mate. I likely wouldn't have played this on my own.

The game doesn’t have co-op tethering, completed the game with my best mate. He was one end of the map fighting enemies, I at the other. Both share all the Xp for any completed activities etc.If you complete major side and any main story mission, this carries over to your game if you were the guest. With the option of skipping that story or carrying on.All the armour looks amazing, combat and traversal is also really good. With clear distinctions in each characters abilities.The major villain side missions are awesome, and the boss fights are crazy.People are whining because this isn’t exactly like precious Batman games, well this is a different game. It has elements of the previous games but it stands out on its own.

Gotham Knights got a lot of hate from reviewers when it first dropped, but honestly, I think it was overblown. I’ve had a great time with it on the PS5 — the combat feels satisfying, the story is solid, and exploring Gotham never really gets old.Where it really shines, though, is in co-op. Teaming up with a friend adds a whole new layer of fun, especially when coordinating takedowns and missions. Each character plays differently enough to keep things fresh, and the upgrade system is actually pretty rewarding once you get into it.It’s not perfect — some of the pacing and performance hiccups hold it back from being a full 5-star game — but it’s far from the disaster some made it out to be. If you’re into superhero games and want a fun co-op experience, this one’s definitely worth a shot.

Bought for xmas present, grandson loved the game.Went 9n his ps5 no problem loading or play8ng the game. Great fun for him.
