Great tennis training aid to help with my topspin gane
I have used this once on the court and it worked as advertised. The short story is that when you have the proper movement of the tennis racket to hit a shot with topspin, air passes through the device and creates a whistle sound. The faster your racket speed and movement, the louder and higher pitched the whistle. No sound means you are not using the right technique. There really are not any real negatives to this. It makes sense to me how it works. There is no reply rocket science to it. But it does work. After using for a day of playing, I was hitting harder, deeper groundstrokes. There are two different versions in the box. One for a beginner type and one for a more advanced player. They even include a couple different colors to match your racket. I thought that was a nice touch. There is an included storage pouch as well as access to some training videos which I have yet to watch honestly. I had to got through a couple hoops to gain access to the videos. It was a little noting but not too bad. It actually took a few days. You have to ask for activation on a chat group and wait till they see it and respond. I think this could have been a little simpler but not a big deal.I will be using this more and see how well it improves my game overall. So far so good. Five star product in my opinion.

Works but comes off and is easily lost
Instructions were very straightforward and was useful tool for confirming my topspin stroke. Unfortunately, the Spivo I came off after the first 45 min of use . It came apart during a hit such that half of it flew off the racket, out of the court and is now forever lost in the grass. Disappointing that it comes off so easily.

No effective
I don't see how adding this gadget and hearing your the swoosh sound will make you improve. Yes, it tells you whether there is spin on your swings but that doesn't necessarily teach you how to hit better. I think this is a waste of money.

Need a reminder about adding topspin to your tennis strokes? Try whistling this...
I had a few problems getting started with the spivo bundle. The bundle consists of two spivo devices to attach to your tennis racquet: spivo I and spivo II, an operating manual (printed in 24 languages), a carrying case with carabiner, and a “style kit” with different colored covers for the spivo devices. The operating manual had very little information, but it initially presented a decision that the user had to make regarding which spivo device to use. It said, “before you start assembling, please decide whether you want to train with spivo I or II”. I tried everywhere to find information about what the differences were between spivo I and II, so I could “start assembling”. In the technical specifications section of the manual, it showed spivo I was 1/10th of a gram heavier and ½ mm larger than spivo II. That was not enough information to help me decide which to use. There was no mention of the devices in the eBook. It wasn’t until I got to the second lesson in the online course that it was mentioned what the difference between the two devices was. spivo I is for a more aggressive, slightly less topspin style of stroke; spivo II is for a very heavy topspin stroke. Now I could begin… Actually, what I did was to install each spivo on a different racquet and do some shadow swings (swinging the racquet without contacting a ball) with each to see what happened. When I swung the racquet with a flat stroke, only in the horizontal plane, neither racquet produced any audible feedback. When I swung the racquets in a “low to high” swing plane the spivos whistled away. The eBook gives a very detailed description of the mechanics of tennis as well as some advice on tactics: technique training and tactics training. The emphasis is on repeating things so often that they become part of the subconscious and thus can be implemented during match play when there is little time to think. It seems to me that the book is aimed at someone who has quite a bit of knowledge of the game of tennis. To read the book and be able to implement its suggestions is not an easy task for a beginning player or even and intermediate player; however, an advanced player probably already knows the principles and techniques mentioned here and implements them in their practice and match time. The spivo device seems to be aimed at helping the beginning player produce a topspin swing by giving immediate feedback when the proper swing path is achieved. Likewise, the device can help the intermediate player continue to groove their topspin swing. I’m not sure the device would be that helpful for an advanced player – they should know how to warmup and practice properly without the audible aid of the spivo whistle.Unfortunately, I was unable to get much of the online course to work properly, so I cannot offer a guess as to who would benefit from that portion of the bundle.Ultimately, I think the bundle really should be targeted at the tennis instructor. Someone with training in teaching tennis would get the most out of the eBook and get some tips that they may want to implement in their future lessons with beginning and intermediate students. The instructor could have their students use the spivo devices during lessons to provide constant feedback about whether their swing technique is correct. The instructor would not have to constantly remind the player to use proper technique, the spivo device would let the student know this with each swing. There are several string dampening devices on the market that can be added to your racquet to give you audible feedback, but none that I know of work like the spivo. The other devices whistle louder the faster you swing, to remind beginning and intermediate players to generate the desired racquet head speed. To my knowledge, only spivo lets you know about topspin. The spivo devices sold by themselves could be targeted at most tennis players, but the spivo bundle seems to me to be most appropriate for a tennis instructor. However, at Amazon’s price, the bundle costs about the same as a 1-hour tennis lesson, and so may still be a decent bargain for someone seriously interested in trying to improve their tennis game. For those serious folks, I would recommend this product.

Poor feedback mechanism--can lead to a bad form
It whistles when a racquet is swung properly. However, it also whistles when a racquet is swung improperly, such as swinging too vertically, which will lead to too much topspin with little forward momentum. Therefore, you need a keen-eyed coach who will spot your faulty mechanics when you practice. For a beginner, it may be an okay tool to engrain a topspin swing path (providing there is a coach), but for an intermediate and above, I don't think this is a useful tool.

Great audible training aid - just part of the package
Short version: yes, I recommend this, as a topspin aid, not a solution. Add-on products may be a (partial) solution.Spivo is an audible feedback tool. When the racquet moves edge-on to the airflow, Spivo whistles. Edge-on is how we add topspin (with the "windshield wiper" motion). Using a ball machine, I discovered how erratic my topspin technique had become. After an hour with Spivo whistling at me, I was back to 65-70% successful forehand & backhand topspin returns, which seems good for an older recreational player. The product description says it provides "Audible Spin for PRO Players" and a "10-week training course".The packaging made startup confusing, and exactly how to insert the Spivo wasn't clear. The tiny print of the credit card-sized manual was unreadable to me. However, the Spivo website was attractively done, but still without clear instructions. The objective was to ensure that you download the Spivo app, create an account, and "Unlock Purchased Content" for your Spivo. They also offer 1-on-1 coaching. As a recreational player, I just needed the audible consistency reminder.Note: do not PLAY with Spivo on your racquet. Even using the ball machine, an off-center hit knocked the cover off one side of the Spivo, making a foot hazard on the court. It was easy to reattach, but disconcerting.I am glad to have it, and gave it 5 starts. With the app and 1-on-1 coaching it may be even better, but as a recreational play, this is enough.

Un fischietto venduto a caro prezzo
Buona l'idea.

The media could not be loaded. Weiter so!

Gravierender Mangel
