These worked great in my top loading washer with no center agitator. They stayed together. The only thing I would check the next time is that the Velcro on the hat was hooked all the way. I had something stuck to it when pulling it out. No complaints so far.

I was hesitant to get these because of the reviews saying they wouldn’t stay closed. I wear Nike Heritage86 hats and Adidas Saturday 2.0 hats (to give some context). I sweat A LOT. Every single one of my hats have extreme sweat stains and they’re very hard to get out. I end up having to buy more hats because I can’t clean them. I did a ton of research and finally just pulled the gun on these hat cages, but got some fail-safes, too. The worst that could happen would be destroying a hat that I would otherwise throw away. So I bought these, a pack of cheap 4 inch zip ties and Tide Free & Gentle.I zip tied the front and back clasp on the cages in hopes it would remain secure but not damage anything. I have a top loading washer with no agitator so I decided to use that. My first attempt I washed my Nike hats. I put it on delicate, no spin, with warm water. I (mistakenly) used Gain detergent. The washer’s load sensor set the time for 30 minutes. The hats came out clean, albeit a bit more faded. I took off the tops of the cages and put the cage/hat at a steep angle with the back of the hat at the bottom for about 5 hours to dry in a fanned room.The Adidas hats I did the same set up with the cages, but this time I used Tide Free & Clear (mild detergent) and ran the washer on delicate, no spin, with cold water. The washer’s load sensor set the time for 35 mins. The hats came out PERFECT. I dried them the same way as the Nike hats. The black hats were much darker and the white hat much brighter.I washed a total of 8 hats so far and they all came out great with the set up I used.

These are more than I expected they work great my hats fit perfect,keeps them firm even after washing em couldn’t be more happy, there 3 different sets so you can wash 3 hats at a time best to use the dishwasher because they stay in one place and not moving around squishing the hats I recommended to all hat lovers to buy this product asap.

The quality of the product is good, however it is hard to open.

I clean my hats using these after long use. It works great in the washing machine. Hats are protected and very clean after wash. I highly recommend getting these!
