Great safe vest for the emerging swimmer
I am a certified swim instructor and I recommended these vests for parents who want their child to progress with independent swimming while feeling safe. it fits snug and easy to put on and off. children have free use of arms and can submerge slightly if they want to.

I purchased this for my 1 1/2 yr old. It was perfect for our vacation! It was comfortable and the fabric is soft. Would purchase again.

Great for Littles
This worked great for my 3 year old when we went to the water park. He hasn't learned how to swim yet so there is just enough padding to let him feel comfortable, but not too comfortable like a life vest where he can just float. I only took away one star because I received mine with a black smudge across the front like it was dropped prior to packaging? I'm not sure.

Perfect for my grandson
Got this for my 18 month old grandson and it does the job as I wanted it too. I like that I will be able to remove some of the material as he starts to swim.

Not recommended
It did its job keeping my 2 year old above water, but the groin strap is made of a stretchy material so even if you strap it down tight it stretches and the vest rides up over her cheeks. It gave her a rash on her cheeks from rubbing after 1 day’s use, and her skin is still healing a week later. This one is not coast guard rated so certainly not safe for any open water, we just used it at a water park with lots of supervision but not recommended for any other body of water. Our other actual life vest stays below the chin and cheeks.

Purchased twice - two thumbs up!
This is the second of these we have purchased. Loved the first so much we bought a second for both our children. Our 2 year old weighs 25 lbs and this is a great fit when swimming in the lake or pool. It also comfortably fits our niece 1.5 years old around 23 lbs.

Not Great For Young Swimmers In The Pool
I purchased this instead a puddle jumper for a 22 month old learning to swim in the pool. It is comfortable for him to wear, however, it would be better for lake days on the boat rather than swimming in the pool. It makes the child top heavy and not sturdy.
