Overall good
Worked great for 4 days in the BWCA. Light enough to pack in, sturdy enough to not worry about it getting damaged on a tree or a rock. The straw spout is pretty small and slow, but it fills a 32 ounce Nalgene in less than a minute. We pumped clean water into it, and hung it in a tree for everyone to use.

Good bag
We had to rinse a bunch of times to reduce taste, added a touch of vinegar, and after a number of times it actually is pretty solid, we used it to carry water on a 3 day backpack trip. If I could have I would have gotten a carabiner on each grommet and probably put my own string through those and hooked it to my bag. When full the 6L size was a little snug but eventually fit into the top bag compartment of my backpack. I did have it leak once but I think that was because somehow the little valve got pulled up on something. I took note of this going forward and just made sure I knew how I was positioning the top of the bag. On the trip though no leaks and it was fine and worked well and can even handle boiling water in the winter and stuff. We carried water in this and in smart water bottles which are each a liter. We filled the smart bottles from this dromedary bag. They where just lighter being 1/6th the size to use and maneuver. Plus they acted like a decent measure of how much water was left in the bag as if we used 3 of those bottles we knew there was 3 liters left. Otherwise this was good and to clean we just washed with soap and stick a paper towel roll into it to keep it open and let it try, you can even clip the cap to the string around it to keep it all together while drying. Quite good.

Durability and function for serious campers.
I have two of these 10L dromedary bags. Versatile, can hang anywhere and makes handwashing or dishwashing for large groups a dream. Lightweight when empty.

Effective water storage
Rinsed it out twice. Filled it and hung it up on the back patio for over a week, (limited sun exposure.) No leaks and the water taste has not changed. Terrific! The 3 way fill cap is a nice feature: large for filling, with a handy "grab" handle, middle size for connecting to other devices, hose, filter, etc., and the small flip open dispenser, which allows fairly precise measuring into a cook pot or cup. Seems rugged, but mine is new, no abuse in the woods yet. Hanging in camp may require some inventiveness. I used a stick as a spreader across the "top" of the bag, held in place with some string at each end/corner, and then hanging the stick to a post, tree,et.

They went backwards in some ways compared to the the old design but the taste is fine.
This review is mostly a comparison to the old design. I have an older version (6 or 8 years) of this bag and like it. I ordered this one for a trip when I did not have access to my old one. First the good. The bag appears to be heavier made and possibly more durable. It had no bad taste at all. The bad is in two areas. The cap design and the hanging strap. The cap has a retention string that gets caught under the threads when you tighten the small cap. This happens more often than not and prevents you from tightening the cap. When the bag is full it is naturally unwieldy and this is a pain. I removed it after a couple of days as it was more in the way than helpful. The next issue is that the collar around the opening is taller and does not allow you to get good purchase on the cap when trying to unscrew it. If the cap is tight, this is frustrating. Finally, I like to hang the bag in camp by the webbing strap around the bag perimeter. There are only 4 grommets and the nozzle is difficult to access or pointing horizontally which makes it hard to fill anything. I would prefer if the nozzle were pointing down or close to down. Overall, I prefer the old design.

Rugged!
We use this in our side by side offroad vehicle to carry water in case we are stranded in the desert. I hang it off the back of one of the seats. It gets tossed around pretty good on rough trails but seems to be handling it fine. The material it’s made of is heavy duty. We haven’t noticed any off flavours being introduced. I like the three way lid on it too. It has a flip up spout for dispensing water slowly, a small screw on cap for medium flow, and then a large screw on cap for high flow or filling. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Would buy again.

A key piece of field gear
4 liters will get most folks through the day, if not you can always double up or go to a 6 or 10 liter. 4 works for me and I like that it can bounce around in my ruck without being easily damaged like a normal bladder The strap and lid make it easy to hang up and use for washing. It rolls up to the size of 2 cigarette packs.

Compacts well, functional for backpacking
It’s durable and sturdy, but the string holding the lid on did break rather easier. The first time I took it out backpacking, actually. However, it’s still 100% functional, I just have to be careful not to lose the lid.The water does acquire a strange taste if it sits all night in the bag, kind of like a soapy or plastic taste - can’t quite pinpoint it. However, I could be cleaning it wrong? Not really sure there, but it’s not a huge day since I mostly use it for day trips.Over all, it’s a great water bladder and is super compact.

No complaints
After reading other reviews I took the time to wash this well prior to camping, used hot water and baking soda and let it sit overnight, then repeated nightly with just plain water for the next four days. I noticed very little taste when used on a weekend camping trip following that, others with me didn't even notice it. Otherwise worked as intended, very rugged, I can see this lasting for years to come

Consigliatissimo!
