My main reason for buying this plastic snap tool and snaps kit was to close the end of pillow cases so the cases don’t slip off during use. One set in particular annoys me as the slippy fabric means the pillow case never stays properly over the pillow. There are no instructions with the kit but there are clear pictures with the listing and there are plenty of YouTube videos. Within 5 mins of delivery, I’d inserted my first snap. It’s fairly easy, especially on slightly thicker fabric (flanelle pillow cases were easier than thinner ones) but what I’ve learned now I’ve set a few is that you press hard for the socket (female) side and very gently on the male side, repeating if necessary. If the snaps aren’t connecting tightly, it’s probably due to the middle of the socket side not being flattened enough. Keep going back, give another squeeze, then test again until you have a secure fit and nice snap sound when the two sides fit together. Go gently with the male side as it’s easy to distort (videos on YouTube show how to remove a bad snap using the setting tool).I’m now looking for other projects to use these on. Great choice of colours in a sturdy box, handy tools and clips and even a measuring tape, so you are good to go immediately. It all comes in a sturdy cardboard box, 16cm x 23cm x 6cm so compact to store.Edited to add: I’ve now replaced a snap on a campervan curtain and fixed a pair of cycling gloves where the Velcro no longer kept them closed.

These are just what I needed. Easy to use if you watch a YouTube video. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to use, even my 10year old granddaughter could use. No instructions in kit but I found a you tube video with easy instructions.Really pleased!

I have tried 3 different pliers to apply snaps and this is by far the best. I am using it to apply snaps to babies clothes so it's really important there are no sharp edges. This is ideal and extremely easy to use.

No instructions, so had to check YouTube. Bought for crafting - I’d checked other reviews to see if these would work with wool. I now know that they don’t. Press too hard, they break - press too softly, they don’t clip together. I’ve tried with thinner material - the snappers can be fitted, but are not easily pulled apart - so only of use if you want them to stay closed. Which, if you want press studs, is rarely the case. Packaging is also poor - the tool’s packaging has been roughly cut to fit into the cardboard box with the snaps container. Snaps sorted by colour but not type, very fiddly. Basically, I would return but I can’t get everything back into the box. Parts broken, tool won’t securely stay in packaging as it arrived damaged. I will persevere and will update this review if I find a way to get them to work, but I’m very unhappy. I would avoid.

This product was amazing once I got an idea on how to use it if you feel you don't get it go on YouTube everything included was useful this was my first time using this kind of stuff and it was awsome for beginners I will recommend anybody who is thinking of getting it worth the money
