Irwin Marples M444/-1/8 Blue Chip 1/8-Inch Bevel Edge Woodworking Chisel

This is a well made tool--no complaints. Most of my hand tools are antiques that are "users," but I've never come across a 1/8" chisel. Since I've had it, I've used it to clean up tight spaces in the shop and been very pleased.

You won't get the chisel shown, but the new larger handle. Not a bad chisel, but hate being mislead by images of the old classic Marples. That said, it is a good chisel, and after touching it up on my whet stone it has a wonderful edge.

The 1/8” chisel was the wrong size. It was supposed to be a 1/8” chisel. The package said 1/8” chisel. But it measured nearly 1/4”. When you need to clean out a 1/8” groove you need a 1/8” chisel. Seems to me they’re stamping out these with no regard to correct size. Also, the handle felt very light and fragile like it was hollow. I’d be afraid to strike it with a hammer. And why does Marples blue chip cost more than the regular Irwin Marples chisel. Surly the blue chip name doesn’t connote extra value. I could buy a better chisel at the dollar store. Do not buy this product. It is cheap Chinese junk. I sent it back.

No parece muy bien, ya veremos el acero que tal resultado da. La empuñadura pésima, un plástico de brillo con mala presencia y calidad, el agarre no es seguro ya que que el plástico de la empuñadura es muy liso. No recomiendo la compra, el precio es caro para lo que es. Ha tardado la entrega mas de una semana, Amazón malísimo servicio.

I like the feel of this chisel, and price fits my budget.Purchased to work on projects where smaller amounts of wood can be removed from tighter areas.
