First impressions: Opening the tube…smell is very strong like a vitamin smell. Consistency is similar to a heavy syrup and not the easiest to squeeze out. It does mix well with water but…the taste has much to improve on. It does not taste as advertised. The taste, similar to the smell is comparable to again, a strong vitamin taste. It was easy to drink and as I continued, I did seem to get used to the taste. Unfortunately, this is as far as I can review for now. I will update as time goes on to report on how effective it works…or doesn’t. I would say, be prepared for the same first impression and if you have sensitive taste buds to the described taste, be warned.

This VPLab Ultra Women's Beauty Liquid Collagen comes as a concentrated drink mix. This is the first time I've had it in this form, and I found it quite enjoyable to drink. The individual tubes are easy to separate and open. The liquid squeezes out and looks more like a thin deep brown syrup and sinks as blobs down into the bottom of the water bottle. I had to give it a good shake to mix it up thoroughly. It adds a fruity flavor to the water and although the box says it's strawberry and kiwi it tasted a bit more like blueberry to me. Compared to other liquid collagens that I've tried, this one tastes pretty good. One thing that I wonder about is if drinking this stuff will stain my teeth. It stained the inside of the water bottle pretty significantly, so I take precaution to brush my teeth after drinking it. The dark syrupy liquid seems to be more staining than other things like coffee. One thing I didn't particularly like was that I felt like I got an older batch of collagen though after looking at the manufacturing date on the label. It was manufactured in May 2021 and closer to its expiration date of May 2024. Other than that, it is easy to use, easy to drink and I hope to reap the beauty and skin benefits with continued use.

I just couldn’t get past the look, texture, and taste. The vials look like dark red blood. I opened one and squeezed it into a 16 oz water bottle per the instructions, and the gloop sank to the bottom like heavy sludge. I shook it up and the resulting color is deep brown, like sewer water. For the sake of a review, I took one sip. It didn’t taste like the mud that it appears to be, but definitely not pleasant enough to get my mind past the appearance to choke down 16 oz of the stuff. I dumped out the bottle and trashed the remaining vials. I’m sorry I can’t report on whether the product yields results, but I can’t psyche myself enough to consume one dose, much less an entire box.

I love the way this stuff tastes! It reminds me of children's Flintstones vitamins. The ampules are nice because there's no measuring. It's very thick before being diluted in water. Once it's mixed in the water you're left with a drink that looks like prune juice, smells slightly fruity, and in my opinion tastes like kiddie vitamins. The last collagen drinks I tried had a very strange aftertaste which this doesn't, so between the two I'll take this any day of the week. It's easy to use, not outrageously expensive, tastes good, and comes individually packaged so you can take one or two with you to work, the gym, out of town, etc.
