Tandem T-Slim Insulin Filling Tool

The tool is pretty cool 3D printed. Aligning the needle to the cartridge port takes a little practice. After using it a few times it makes juggling the syring and the cartridge much easier.Want one for the syring and insulin vial! 😉

I bought this to replace a similar tool that I loved, but accidentally threw in the trash outside of home. I picked it because it was so similar. The edge of the tool that is designed to pry the cartridge out actually works better as it fills the gap better, makes it easier to twist and pry it out. But I was disappointed in how the slot where the syringe is inserted is so loose, not snug. There’s way too much play for it to effectively guide the needle to the fill port. I still have to put my glasses on to line it up manually, I can’t see how someone with a light tremor in their hands could get any benefit from it, I’m sorry to say.

1st, someone understands the struggle of being a diabetic and using a Tandem Pump. The filling process and nailing the sweet spot and not missing or puncturing the sack/bag within the black cartridge because you have to go off feel and not having sight. This is AWESOME. I read some people use this to avoid pricking their fingers with the needle/syringe. Not me, I saw the huge benefit of using this 3D Printing to align everything (cartridges/syringes). Wow, this company needs 5 stars for every purchase. The skill, thought and hard work to make this tool and life easier for the end user. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It works so good for me after years of sometimes wasting cartridges and having anxiety that I didn’t fill correctly. This is an awesome tool!

I like this for filling the cartridge for the pump. Only thing I wish was that the syringe snapped in somehow. The design allows too much movement. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

First time out - loaded the syringe - snapped in the new/empty cartridge - slid everything in to the jig and pushed in the syringe - BINGO - hit the sweet spot in the center of the white dot and the needle went in perfectly (probably the first time since training). I'd say this jig is just about perfect. Very happy customer.

I have recently stated on the Dexacom/ Tandem system for my diabetes, this piece of equipment makes loading the cartridge so much easier
