This product stops the itch as well as any other product. It stays on the spot all day as long as you don't wash it off.

At 4 months pregnant my skin was stretching and I was using coco butter to avoid stretch marks. Little did I know, the coco butter started causing rashes because apparently it was over-moisturizing my skin and I developed possibly bacterial/fungal infections that caused itching and rashes all over. My doctor recommended I used this lotion and after about a week, the itching calmed and it resolved my problem with the rashes. It works!

The product does the job it is intended for - but I did find it (like most meds/vitamins etc,) to be way to pricey for the medication. This lotion has been around for 50 years or more and to have it so overpriced - well I guess that is the sign of the times. For some reason my local pharmacies no longer stock it on a regular basis but when they do, I'll buy local and stock it up. One of those things you need when you need it. But sorry - if you can get it off your pharmacy shelf likely it will be a lot cheaper.

If you don’t have a bottle of Amazon Basics Medicated Calamine Anti-Itch Lotion in your medicine cabinet or under your sink with a bottle of rubbing alcohol, you should think about it. I have used calamine lotion for years as a skin analgesic skin protectant and a great anti itch lotion….and always keep a bottle with my bandages and cotton swabs. You just never know when you will need it.For instance…if you get a spider bite, ant bite, or get into poison ivy or stinging nettles…you need something to relieve the burn and itch right away. Calamine lotion has been relieving this issue for many years. It is a pink lotion with a slightly medicinal smell, but it works great. I trust the Amazon Basics brand and am glad I am back in stock with their calamine lotion.Highly recommend.

Does not feel like regular calamine lotion. Ot has an unusual slimy feel.

Works great. Could be a little cheaper. I like the formula on this product, though I still add a little lemon eucalyptus to it, so the sent which I really like, is covered up by it. I also like that it has the Pramoxine HCl as added pain / itch relief.
