works perfect with simple burn tools
I think I've gotten 10 burns each disk so far - no signs of fail or corruption yet.ps3 media server is a drag on win 8 machines, so yea i burn stuff onto these disks to play on ps3 when i dont feel like watching by software player on laptop and hdmi out to tv..just a point of note - by imgburn it took roughly 4.5 hrs for a first format on each disk, so plan to have some time spent on that activity.write speeds is 2.1 x at roughly 9.2 MB/s ~ 1 and half hrs for a full disk burn.quick erase of full disk is around 5 sec. so its perfect once the disk has been formatted that first time.

Lucky to get 3 Stars......
3 Stars for the Price and for the Name Brand "TDK". Minus 2 stars for the Fact that the Packaging (Everything) is written in Chinese and also the Disks have no markings or writing on either side.. I haven't Burned any yet but think they should produce reasonable results based on my past experiences with the TDK name. I surely would not buy these again.

Really bad Blu Rays
Definitely waste of money. I already tried to burn 3 of 5 of these Blu Rays and I wasted my time, all of three saying errors writing them. I'm done with these garbage discs. Save your money and your time.

Verbatim disks labeled as TDK (per ImgBurn) with 2 of 7 failures so far! Need to test burn ALL disks!
ImgBurn says disks are Verbatim. I have about 2 failures of 7 so far. I am test burning all disks!

So far, fine
I've used only one of the discs in the package, recording and erasing on it about five times now, and it has worked well. The surface is white, ink-jet printable. which doesn't make a lot of sense considering theses are rewritable discs.

Excellent Backup Media
PROS: Sale Price; Capacity; Quality.CONS: Price; Packaging.I used this product with the ASUS External 12X Blu-Ray Burner with USB 3.0 BW-12D1S-U/BLK/G/AS that I also purchased. I've used these discs as hard-backup media for my Windows PCs. Their large capacity enabled me to be able to use a single disc for this purpose, rather than multiple CDs or DVDs. The quality of these TDK discs are of the highest quality. The sale price was right, however the regular price, at least for me, is prohibitive. I also would have prefered a different package type.

TDK makes great media.
When you need to copy a large amount of 1080 high definition content, but don't need to keep it forever, a BD-RE DL (rewritable double layer) disk is what you need. TDK Japan makes these, and Japanese companies still seem to be the place to go for high quality media. I've been using TDK for more than a year now (in addition to Panasonic and Sony..) so I was surprised about this new "Super Hard Coat" thing that they're advertising. I always thought their previous 'Durabis 2' coat was fine. Never had any problem with scratches. But I guess this 2010 model just made them even tougher...Also, great service from HD Camcorders & More. Thanks again!

Tried using it as backup media; not so successful
I tried to make a system image under Windows using these discs; it completed sucessfuly but in no way did the backup work-it should have spanned 2 discs but it only wrote to 1. I mat try to use it to backup individual subfolders, but for now, I'd advise against using this to make a system recovery disc set.
