Aunt Lydia Extra Fine Crochet - 3 Pack of 400y/365m - White

This thread is some of the cheapest and best out there, and I am quite happy with the thread itself. I made up a quick swatch to compare it to my size 10 swatch, and the stitch definition is proving great.However, the three spools came packaged in a very flimsy clear bag. This wimpy shipping bag was torn in several places and I am honestly surprised that the thread didn't fall right out. This really should have been packaged more securely to ensure the thread was kept clean and tidy.

There are brands that are better, but for my purpose it works fine. I've bought many colors of Aunt Lydia's for different crochet projects. Took 5 days to receive.

If you're just beginning to do lace crochet, use size 10 thread. But I wanted a challenge. I'm enjoying expanding my skills.

I purchased this 3 pack of fine 20 mercerized thread for a weaving project which requires measuring a multitude of the same length strands on a device that keeps the length consistent. When the first ball ran out WAY SOONER than I expected I rechecked my length, multiplied it by the number of strands that I'd been able to make and found the ball had JUST UNDER 219 YDS total. Its not a bargain when you get shorted that drastically. If the other two balls are also short, I'll be forced to buy more or abandon the project. Super frustrating!

The quality is perfect. I usually crochet #10, wanted to try something finer. Should have gone to #20 first. The 30 is difficult with .75mm needle because my eyes are pretty bad. That's a personal issue, not thread issue.

This crochet thread is excellent. I've had some that would literally pull apart as I was working with it and this does not. I am extemely happy with it!
