Good book had to buy for college

A Great Buy! The College Bookstore wanted $110.00 for this book USED! My son needed it for School., We will be buying more of his textbooks online next semester! It's in great shape, less wear than more of those on the College Bookstore shelves and exactly what he needed! All in all a Great Buy!

Easy to read and a great sociology book. The text is in common English while still educating the reader about sociology. Used it for Sociology 101 and got an easy A+

It was genuinely interesting and appeared to be helpful although the course I took was a bit of a joke.

Loved this edition. Not brand new, but definitely did the job. Got an ‘A’ in my class. Yay! Save yourself the money and go with this edition, don’t let your professor punk you into getting the new edition!!

I'm pleased to say that it is the book I needed, and I'm happy about that. But I was under the impression that the condition of the book would be better then it is. If I'm not mistaken I believe it said the book was in good condition. Towards the back of the book in chapters 14 and 15 page 454 to 486 the binding seems to be coming undone at the top. Luckily you can still read the pages. I'm just hoping that I don't get charged or fined for it In anyway, beings it was like this ever since I got it.

Used this for my first semester of college! Loved the book and loved the class. Quick easy and more affordable than my school's book store!

This is the first negative review I've ever given. Unfortunately, as others have said this book is rather opinionated. However, the most egregious issue I have with this book was the authors "so called" research sources. In one particular chapter he cites a well known tabloid magazine (dailymail) as proof of one of his statements. What sort of scientist/professional does that!? Since you'll probably have to buy this book for a class regardless, feel free to fact check my claim.
