I have a Pelican Catch 100 fishing kayak that is wide and short. I was concerned that the straps provided with this cart would not be wide enough. I was also concerned that the kart would be unstable against the flat bottom of the kayak. After some adjustments the cart fit very well, and I tested it on uneven ground. I am happy with this purchase. The only negative comments are that the instructions regarding strapping were not easy to follow. I also think that there should be some warning not to tighten the straps too tight or you might damage your kayak.

We bought this carrier to help move our 17-foot canoe from our truck to the water. Prior to having this I had to assist my husband in carrying the canoe which was hard for me to do. Now we take the canoe down off the truck and load onto the carrier and all I have to do is help guide the canoe as my husband pulls it down to the water.The carrier is lightweight and easy to us. I would recommend for anyone needing assistance moving their canoe or kyak.

Good value. I use mine with a 14' plastic canoe. Works fine with fully loaded cooler, tackle bag and all your gear. Id suggest loading canoe/kayak AFTER you get it situated and strapped to the wheels. Makes it much easier to get it centered and to pull it up on the cart. Comes with basic ratchet straps that attach to the frame. You do have to unscrew a bolt to slide the loops for the ratchet straps onto the frame of the cart. With larger vessels the kickstand does not touch the ground (not a huge deal). Overall happy with the product, would recommend to those who have a little walk to the water.EDIT: Alot of people are commenting about how the frame collapses mid walk. Happened to me a couple times before i engaged my brain. The two screw with springs are to be tightened down to compress the springs. This applys tension and wont allow the fram to close when rolling over bumps. Ive since taken my canoe over roots, edges of road and across bumpy yards wkth no problem. Awesome device

We have a tandem kayak that weighs a ton! We purchased an ozark trail and it was absolute trash! After some research on amazon we found this one for the same exact price. The quality and ease of use is so much better. We have already used it several times and it works great on asphalt, sand, and rocky terrain. Great purchase and great price.

This was a last minute purchase as we had bought a fishing kyak for our son but then realized he had no way to get the kyak down to the dock a 1/2 mile from his house. It makes walking the kyak down to the dock an absolute breeze! The dolly arrived quickly, well packaged, with both Velcro and Rachel straps for securing the kyak. The foam bumpers to protect and hold the kyak are thick and the wheel assembly is quick with locking cog pins. The whole thing folds up for ease of storage/transport. The size is perfect for his needs and the straps secure the kyak well and makes the transport along a moderately busy neighborhood road more safe than trying to manhandled it there without it. It's well made out of light, sturdy aluminum and the price is just right. Very pleased.

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I needed. We live 2 blocks away from the dock so mounting the kayak on top of the car was going to make me not want to take it out as much I’m sure. Bought these knowing that they might not be as user friendly as I expected but overall I love them. Since I roll it on asphalt and there’s no potholes I don’t use the straps on it, worse case scenario it falls and I put it back up. I will say it takes a bit of strength to mount it like I do it. I put the kayak and the wheels sideways and then tilt it til it’s upright, that way I know it’s centered. I tried mounting it from one end and sliding the wheels but it’s almost impossible to do it alone as they slide, you’d need a second person to hold the wheels in place.

Nice material. Rolls smoothly. Easy to put together except the straps. The instructions don’t clearly explain how the straps attach. I used my own ratchet strap to tie down. I have a 10ft sit on top kayak, and as you know they are more flat on the bottom, you have to find the right spot to strap the kayak down that balances on the bottom, but it still leaves a gap.

Solid setup for a large SUP. I'm rather happy with it. No assembly, works great.
