TaylorMadeStealth 2 Iron Combo Set

Iron set came in exactly as described. Did a lot of research and went with this one. The price was great and it shipped fast. Was packed great in a Taylor made box. The clubs are amazing. Went from 20 year old clubs and wow what a difference. I am hitting straight and more distance with every shot. If you are the fence like I was just do it and thank me later.

Phenomenal deal. This set includes P-5 irons, 3 AND 4 rescue hybrids, plus two head covers. Stiff shaft is KBS MT85 steel for irons and Fujikara red carbon for the rescue hybrids. Super grippy Lamkin crossline 360 grips feel somewhere between standard and mid size. The TM Stealth series superb reputation speaks for itself so I won’t bother, but, this combo is an absolute steal!

Amazing forgiveness

I finally broke down and purchased a set of real fine clubs that play better than I currently play them. But that’s the fun and the challenge of this game.

I just upgraded to this set of Stealth irons. Compared to my previous set which was 15 years old I'm getting an extra 10 yards per club. I'm a newer golfer and think my previous set of Taylormade Burners were more forgiving, or maybe I am just more used to the way they feel and strike the ball. The loft on these is a couple degrees lower per club and it's noticeable. I'd still recommend these though as I'm getting more distance and think the accuracy can be dialed in as I get used to them.

After swinging these on the sim in store, I made the leap of faith to upgrade from my ancient yet still super sweet swinging Hogan Edge irons. I’m an occasional player and a high ball hitter, being 6’2”, and never got a lot of distance out of the Hogans, or any other iron of that era. So you can imagine the look on my face the first time at the range when I pured one, and it had my nice high ball flight but just kept on going. An easy 30+ yard gain for the same “club”. Yes, they all pull the loft trick on today’s game improvement irons but it really works. I hit the 5I 200yds. Couldn’t hit the Hogan 3I that far with a tailwind! I wasn’t sure I’d like the hybrids, but man they sure went a heck of a long way for me at the range, so we’ll see how far they actually go on the course.I really wanted to save money and go with the old M4 set with hybrids, but I’m seriously glad I went with the Stealth instead. They are a huge distance upgrade from my Hogans, and the feel isn’t half bad though nothing beats forged. I’m just slowing down with age and don’t have a good enough swing to justify the forged any more. Since it took me over three decades to let go of the Hogans, I’m expecting these Stealths will last me until I need senior flex graphite shafts. :)Final note- those of you upgrading from more recent irons shouldn’t expect to see the distance improvement I achieved. It’s probably more like one club in that case. Do your research.Game on!
