Saved me loads of time and money!
I used this to install 250' of chainlink fence. I drove in six terminal/corner posts and 24 line posts to a depth of 46"-48". It took 3-4 minutes to drive each post. The soil in my yard is not rock and I only had to deal with tree roots on a couple of line posts.I couldn't be happier with the performance of this post driver. The only issue I ran into was that the posts would mushroom where the driver made contact. This wasn't a problem with the corner/terminal post because the diameter didn't require a smaller collar. The line posts did require a smaller collar and I would have to unscrew the collar to remove the driver when I reached proper depth. I, then, cut the mushroomed head off to the correct height, removed the collar, and reattached it to the driver. The key is to allow yourself a couple of inches to cut off so they are all the correct height.

Out of the box failure and less than stellar customer service
Product was an out of the box failure. We received the product Monday afternoon. Unpacked it and followed the start up instructions to the letter including filling it with gas and oil. It would not run correctly at all and this was without even trying to drive a post. Contacted the support number provided in the box. Walked through several attempts with support trying to get it to work. They indicated it was probably a problem with the clutch. Due to the fact that the product had been filled with gas and oil it could not be returned thru Amazon. We contacted the seller again. They indicated they would send a call tag and that once they received it they would either repair or replace it and it could take a few weeks or more. This was unacceptable to me. Contacted Amazon they contacted vendor on our behalf. Vendor contacted us and is sending a call tag and has agreed to issue a refund once they receive the item. They had Lots of questions about the model ordered. They suggested I purchase a better one for $220 more and offered a $30 discount off the more expensive model if I wanted to drive to a store about 10 miles away and exchange it. At this point it’s been more than $30.00 worth of trouble unpacking the product, trying to get it to work and failing, contacting support and walking through steps to try to get it to work, working first with the company, then amazon and then the company again to resolve the issue, having to drain the gas and oil and repackaging it and preparing it to be sent back. The company did not seem to have much confidence in this $530 model. I would still like to have a post driver but I’m going to have to think about whether I would order one from this manufacturer again or at the very least whether I would order this model. To be fair it could be a one off issue but it’s cause for concern. Customer service left something to be desired too. The second individual I spoke to from the seller company was a bit more helpful but I was still left feeling disappointed and annoyed that they didn’t have a better resolution. I was grateful that I purchased this thru Amazon. The product has a one year warranty but given my experience I wouldn’t count on that.Too bad. This product is made or at least assembled I think in my home state of Missouri. I’d love the opportunity to give them rave reviews but in this case so far I can’t. If I decide to order another one and it works out I will revise my review. I want to be fair and I’ve read other decent reviews on both the company and the product. I’m hoping I just got a bad one and that they figure out how to work with customers in a manner that takes into account the hassle it is to receive a defective product, go through the start up procedures, contact support for help, have to jump through hoops to try to resolve the issue etc. by taking part in a total of 4 different phone calls, it should only require one phone call with an out of the box failure and every effort should be made to avoid causing the customer additional trouble. It’s not the customers fault their product failed to work straight out of the box.

This saved my life!
Was visiting my son in Texas in mid August and helping him put up fence posts around his property for his horses. It was mid August. After trying to put in the first two posts by hand I said no way. I immediately went on Amazon and saw this and bought it. It was also delivered next day so yes it couldn't have been any better. This thing rocks. It pounded and pounded those fence posts one after the other like they were tooth picks in sand. I would have literally died in that hot August Texas heat had it not been for this machine. The only regret was I had to leave it there and couldn't bring it back with me. Would make good use putting in T-posts out in the desert for shooting steel AR 500. Oh well. Would definitely consider buying another one for myself.

After 1 Year, I Love It...but it's not perfect.
At first, I was disappointed in the performance, how heavy it was, etc. However, after a year of use and hundreds of t-posts driven around the farm, I've gotten used to it. I know when to use it, when it just do it by hand, etc. After a year of use, most months just sitting outside against a fence. A few bolts with rust on them. I've dropped several times. I lightly pull the cord after priming to get it moving, then 1 hard tug and it's still firing up first time!I cannot say that for my gas chainsaw. I only use ethanol free gas, I keep up with the maintenance, I love this thing. However, it doesn't blast through hard ground. You will still have to hand drive posts from time to time. I live in Northern AZ in the "high desert" area where it's thick hard clay and lots of rocks. Whenever it can't pound through, I smash it farther by hand and can usually finish with this driver.I bought for almost $600, it's now under $500! Well worth the money. I don't think it's any "faster" than what I can do by hand, but it sure saves my elbows and hands from long hours building fences. I probably get 4x as much fencing up using this. If I had softer ground, probably wouldn't buy this. But of you're getting beat up after only a few posts, I highly recommend. Very impressed after 1 year.

Runs good
Using to drive t posts, works great, idles great, nice storage case. Starts easy, only using non-ethanol gas. Runs in any position, horizontally, vertical,….

works great
wish I had bought this sooner. I put in about 75 t-posts so far and no problems. A little heavy but so much better than the hand pounder.
