"My heart ached with love for a little girl who in some ways had always belonged to me"
I came across this book firstly as an audiobook and quickly downloaded the e-book as felt I wasn't getting the true impact from just listening, and was I right.Olive Taylor has been in love with Jason Thorn since she first met him when she was five years old, and she felt the butterflies in her stomach that her mother had always mentioned would happen when she met 'the one'. His smile and delicious dimple were of course a bonus. But Jason was her elder brother's best friend and didn't notice her, treating her like he was her brother as well. Reaching out anonymously when he was eighteen, his reply broke her heart. His mother then died and he moved away to live with his dad, she never saw him again. That is until he walked into the meeting she was having regarding turning her book into a movie.Jason practically grew up in his best friend's Dylan house, seeing his 'little one' Olive everyday until his mother's death and then he is taken across the country to live in his father's house. He stayed in touch with Dylan for a while but his career as an actor took off and they lost touch. Jason was taking full advantage of the life available to him, especially the booze, parties and women which was constantly putting him in the media spotlight and giving him a reputation some directors didn't want associated with their movies. As he walked into a meeting with his agent Tom, he came face to face with his 'little one' and announced to the room she had once told him he was her "favourite person in the whole wide world". After announcing that the was all in for the role they wanted him for, he drags Olive from the meeting. She is shocked into silence but he has so much affection in his voice when he speaks that she just follows him. He doesn't realise how much he has missed her, until he sees her again.Reading Olive's book, Jason knew he wanted the part of Isaac and would try to clean up his reputation to hold on to it.Seeing Jason again, Olive has to admit to herself that she never stopped loving him and that he is never far from her thoughts, inspiring her debut novel.Olive is a quiet but sassy character, but is extremely lovable. She is unsure of herself and relies on her best friend Lucy to keep her anxieties at bay.Jason's character is adorable from the start, being the peacemaker between his best friend and his little sister. He has always been very protective of Olive, thinking of her as his little sister and loving her as such until he sees her all grown up.The interactions and relationship between Jason and Olive is believable and draws you in from the start. So of course when he needs her help, she is there for him without considering the cost to her if it all goes wrong. It is a relief as a reader, when Jason finally opens his eyes and sees Olive as the beautiful woman she is now rather than the sweet little girl she was. This book is full of laughs and made me smile constantly. It is engaging and has lots of steamy moments. I loved it and definitely recommend it as a must read. Can't wait to read I Hate Adam Connor.“Surprisingly, you’ve been the best kind of heartache, Jason Thorn.”"My heart ached with love for a little girl who in some ways had always belonged to me"“Now that you are all grown up, I don’t mind you being sticky at all. In fact, I can’t wait to get you home so you can get sticky all over me, sweetheart.”

Easy read and enjoyable storyline
I didn’t expect much (mainly because the colourful cover looked a bit teenagery (aware that’s not a word) but I’m loving it. I think it’s such an easy read and sometimes we need that. And easy to follow but which captures you. I’ve enjoyed every page, I really have.I have about 30% of the book left but I needed to start my review because I love it. First of all, I cried so much at the beginning, especially when he had to leave. I filmed it for my vlog review on tik tok that I’m preparing. And then I laughed and smiled.Characters, I adore Olive, she’s so sweet, tender and truthfully reminds me a little bit of me. And Jason, as much as he broke her heart as a little girl, I think he’s a good man. I love how his whole life he’s touched a piece of her hair. For me, it means something. Obviously I still have a little to read but he’s protective and loving and he doesn’t use his past as excuse for his behaviour.I didn’t know what this book was about, I just ordered it but I love the storyline. A girl who loves someone from childhood, writes a book based on him, the book gets turned into a movie, he’s the lead in the film and then he needs a fake dating/ marriage to fix his image. I know it’s predictable in a way but the beginning isn’t. I didn’t expect that at all. So I recommend this.I also think the spice is nicely done, descriptive enough where you can visualise it but isn’t written in a tacky way. It’s tasteful. I appreciate that.I’m giving the spice 3, simply because when I rate the level of spiciness, 1 means none at all, 2, means some kissing scenes and 3 means some sex scenes but I wouldn’t say it’s above a 3 in spice. 🌶🌶🌶

Absolutely loved it!
This is far from the first book that I've read in this genre and it has become really hard to find a read this enjoyable as there are only this many ways that you could describe a sex scene in a book and unfortunately in most cases it becomes quite repetitive and tiring to the point that I always skip those bits in a book. Thankfully "To love Jason Thorn" was not one of those books and I'm really glad that I gave it a try. I loved everything about it from the start till the end! I loved the fact that, even though romantic, it wasn't too cheesy and I loved that it actually made me laugh at some points which wasn't something I expected from this book. And even though I'm not a fan of dirty talking in the books (it makes me cringe most of the times lol) the sex scenes in this book where absolutely hot and I didn't feel the need to skip even one of them (yay!). I also really liked the fact that the author took her time with the first kiss of Olive and Jason and it just made me look more and more forward to it as it took more than half a book until they actually kissed lol! And I also loved the fact that the writer didn't drag the happy ending into describing their happy happy future where Olive and Jason would have 10 kids and a dog and be still absolutely happy cause that's always the bit that annoys me in these kind of books. I mean I get it, they lived happily ever after, no need to skip to the future and assure us readers that they are still together lol.All in all, I really really enjoyed this book, to the point that I felt the need to write a review on it (i don't ever do that, I only give ratings usually). I will definitely take a look at the other books written by this author!

leitura gostosa

Sweet & Funny
First book I read from this author. The two main characters start a fake relationship because Jason who is an actor, need to get a better reputation after a few scandals.I was a bit disappointed that the fake dating only start around the middle of the book, which make the beginning slow and their relationship a little bit rush in my opinion.I also think that the author doesn't dig enough into the characters personalities and background. However, I like the plot as well as how Jason and Olive act and interact with each other, I'm glad they could find their way back together. Olive childhood crush toward Jason was really cute and I love how Jason was always so nice to her.

Shipping was fast.book is bad.
Way too smutty. Doesnt have much of a plot. Not exactly a book you'd remember but a quick read if smut is your thing.
