CRAFTSMAN 20V MAX Cordless Detail Sander, Tool Only (CMCW221B), Red

I have a neurological issue which causes weakness in my hands. I enjoy woodworking, but needed something with a variable speed. Craftsman is the only one that carries a variable speed detailer. I’m impressed with how well this sander works. Even though it’s less powerful than some of the other brands, I would say that it definitely gets the job done! And I like that it’s lightweight because again for someone like me, it gives me a little more freedom to do the things that I love. Whereas with heavier tools, I can’t physically maneuver them.

Lightweight, easy to handle and the "iron" shape works great. Pick up an extra battery if you have a lot to sand.

This is a great handheld sander. Love the fact that it takes batteries :-) I have other products from craftsman which also have batteries so I am just adding to my collection! I have used this sander quite often with no issues and the charge last for quite a while. It also comes with extra sanding pads, which is great! Can’t beat the price - and it is a CRAFTSMAN!!! Awesome product- Also, easy to handle, hold and it is. It heavy:) Can’t go wrong with this purchase!

Works well for what I purchased it for. Easy to use.

Performance is good.

I love this machine. It has helped give new life to alot of projects as well as certain rooms in the house. It most importantly is easy on the hands. Great product. Does exactly as its description says & for a great price.

Love it

I normally wouldn’t leave a review until after I have had the chance to at least try the product first, however I feel compelled to give my initial impression after receiving this product. I was really excited to try this sander out, especially after doing a fair amount of research into detail sanders. I was especially excited that it was cordless. All of my initial excitement aside, when I opened up the box, I very quickly discovered that this doesn’t come with the battery or charger. In my opinion this is a cheap move. I actually went back through the Amazon listing to see where it states that the battery isn’t included. The only place its stated is in the title of the listing. You would think that would make this hard to miss, but depending on how you’re viewing the listing (whether its on your phone vs a computer) formatting can easily block this key piece of information. Other then in the title, this important information is not repeated anywhere else. The battery isn't even put in the recommended purchase section of items recommended to bought alongside the item you are currently viewing. At least if it had shown up there that would have given some kind of hint. This honestly irritates me so much that I give this 3 out of 5 for just this, since I now cant use my new cordless sander until I can purchase the battery and charger. Oh and the battery and charger is of course more expensive then the damn sander!!

As usual, Crastman delivers. It is the latest addition to my Crasftsman tool line-up and I'm not disappointed. The size of the sander is decent. The handle could be smaller as well as the dust collection bag to increase the ease of acces to tighter spots, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall performance is very good and the variable 3-speed feature is useful. Once again, great quality/price ratio!

This sander works wonders. The battery life is ok. Cordless is a joy to work with !

Excellent purchase I appreciate the different speed dails, but battery is not supplied. I brought a set of batteries with the charger.. have used it yet I’ll be sure to write an update
