Plinka Plinka Shake shake Board book – 3 March 2022

These fun books are perfect for little kids who love fun sounds!!! We have all 5 and they're always the books my son picks for his bedtime stories!

We have all of the series, of which they're all great fun, but this is our favourite. My 3 year old loves performing the sounds of the instruments and she's even learnt the song at the end. No it doesn't have sound effects, but I actually love that about it. She has to use her imagination or knowledge of the instruments, and we have a giggle over how terrible mummy makes the sounds.

My son received this as a first birthday present along with a wooden set of instruments and it was easily his favorite + most used present. The book is simple- each page has a the instrument name, picture and sound. I was so happy to find this series- I use the books during sessions as a pediatric SLP because they are so great at promoting language use during play!Ways we use:- matching instruments to book- making other sounds the instrument might make- describing same vs different attributes- singing + playing to the song "I know a chicken who laid a shaky egg" on repeat (theres tons of other songs we use but this is catchy)This has become my go to gift along with an instrument set for Christmas and birthdays for age range of 1-4 years old.

The children I look after, just love this book. It's read most days and we have to get our instruments out too...great activity!

Absolutely love this book and love the entire series. Buy a set of musical instruments because your baby will LOVE this book and will want to make lots of similar noises.
