Q: I’d love to get one but these reviews are scary $50. For a pot is expensive. Any explanation as to the negative one?

I love this teapot, best I have ever owned. Teapots manufactured in England do not drip as do the ones manufactured elsewhere. It is expensive, but Imhave had this teapot for 20-25 years.

Q: Can anyone who has the two-cup version tell me if the bottom has a potter's mark or emboss? I just got one and I think it might be counterfeit.

I have the 8 cup it says made in England on the base. There is no actual makers stamp. Hope this helps.

Mine is a 2 cup and says nothing about Brown Betty. It says original and England.
