WII Micophone
This was not the easiest thing to find for a Christmas present. You know how this works, ask grandchildren what they want and you get the list, then a week before Christmas, there is the statement "Hey Mom you know what I really would like......" Now the way this goes is Mom calls grand mom and relays the message. grand mom handles the situation..."Hey Hon aka as husband (grand pop) when you are on the computer tonight see what you can find for a mike for the kids WII.Amazon to the rescue again to bail me out of a jam.I don't want to tell them that Amazon is where I go in a panic as it would greatly hurt my image!!Truth be said it is the item that Granddaughter wanted as was very pleased that mom mom found it. (Yes that is what was said).Again great vendor experience and help from Amazon. THANKS

Works well, but build quality is below bundled mic
The microphone itself works perfectly fine, with volume and precision comparable to the Mic that came with the PS3 Rock Band 2 bundle.I am worried, however, about its durability. In this item the connection between the cable and the microphone dos not have the rubber protection seen in the RB2 Mic (Madcatz Mad Catz Rb3960110002/04/1 Nintendo Wii Rock Band 3 Microphone (Video Game Access / Accessories) ), which purpose is protecting the mic's internal electronics against pulling forces in the cable - a frequent happening when you have a larger group of people passing the mic around (and occasionally stumbling on the cable).

I recommend this mic...but not just for videogames.
If you want a cheap USB mic to plug into your computer, this is literally the cheapest thing you can find. And heres the secret, it works and sounds okay! You can plug this into your computer and boot up garage band or audacity and be recording your own voice-overs and songs. Dont get me wrong this is not a 'good' mic. Compared to any professional XLR mic this is a piece of trash.... BUT it does not sound as bad as you might think and if you just want to play around, or you have an incredibly limited budget this is as good as deal as you will find right now. If I had no other option I would pull this out and use it in a heart beat for light tasks.

Where is the elusive Logitech logo mic?
I can report that so far, both mics that I bought work successfully with XBOX 360 Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3, but it was a bit of a disappointment that I did not recieve the mic pictured. I liked the thought of purchasing the Logitech labeled microphone, as it was not specific to any of the games, so I was especially disappointed when they arrived with the label of a game I DON'T own, Guitar Hero. Mics do not feel flimsy at all, and weight is consistent with a pro mic. Mic is very sensitive out of the package, and I was able to whisper through songs successfully with the default settings, but traversely it didn't hamper my ability to play and sing loud when desired. According to all of the reviews, if you want/need a mic, get it, but it seems likely that you will not get the one pictured.

Great Microphone at an Amzaing Price!
The first time I used a Logitech USB microphone like this was on a Karaoke Revolution game we bought a few years ago. I liked the simplicity of the mic and decided to plug it into my computer for some online karaoke (I know - I have a karaoke problem!) and it was a snap to set up and use. When my son was looking for a vocal-quality microphone, I bought him this one as a birthday gift, and he's enjoying it thoroughly. It has the same, great Logitech quality we're all familiar with, plus it's plug 'n play, which takes the hassle out of putting it to work right away on a PC or other USB-enabled device!

Mic did not work on WII
After reading the reviews and ordering many items that had mixed reviews finally got something that did not work on the WII. The WII recongized it but when it came to playing games there was no audio input. I connected the mic to my pc, downloaded the driver and found there was no audio input there as well though my other mic works fine. My guess is that the people having problems have mics that broke during shipping process. The product comes in one of those plastic bag envelopes with no padding and would guess that's were it breaks. If you get one that works, I would say it is a good deal but if it doesn't work you have to deal with sending it back.

The mic setting in the game on the "Easy" mode is ridiculously easy, but I guess that's so anyone can pick ...
Read the negative reviews before buying this microphone, so my expectations weren't extremely high. Had no problems with hooking it up or in using it. I only have used it on Rock Band 3. The mic setting in the game on the "Easy" mode is ridiculously easy, but I guess that's so anyone can pick it up and have fun. To have any sort of a challenge (this is a game issue, not an issue w/the mic) I found I had to to at least the Hard setting. Would buy again!

Jury Still Out
We received this microphone today to use with Rock Band 3 on our wii. The system recognizes it and tells us how we're doing when we sing along, but we can't hear our vocals. It's the same when I try it with garage band on my computer. Is that just how this microphone works, are we doing something wrong? Is it broken? Can anyone else who bought it weigh in - this isn't at all what we expected.
