Probably the best microphone I own currently
I use my MKH416 every single day from approximately 6-8 inches away from my face, running through a DBX286s, via balanced TRS to a 12 track mixer line-in, to my interface via balanced TRS connection. Clean audio.Many purchase the MKH416 for professional VO work or other professional means, I just wanted a decent microphone for every day stuff including gaming, instead of a 102.. I got this instead. No regrets.
