I'm always nervous buying larger artificial plants online because they're either too cheap or too thin looking. This review is for the bird of paradise. I needed something to help block out my view of my neighbors on my back porch. This plant is beautiful, big and very nice quality. I really liked the fact the base was heavy too help hold it up. I placed it in an even larger pot for more stability from the wind. Very impressed.

Easy to setup and looks terrific! We put ours into a larger plastic plant pot and filled it with aquarium stones. This allowed us to raise the base of the plant up in the stones for additional height and realism. (It’s about 74” at it’s highest point when finished.) Was fairly easy to spread the leaves once setup in the pot. Just go slow and take your time. (I spent about 15-minutes on ours.)

Searching for a fake house decor plant was hard because I didn’t not want something fake looking and flimsy. This one though, it delivered ! It’s full, easy to shape. Excellent quality. Packaging was great too and price is great for the size of the plant.

The more I look at it the more I’m liking it. I’ve added some extra cuts into the leaves and added dead stem stalks from the real birds outside and incorporated them into the stems. It helps. I’m not a fan of fake plants but we were tired replacing real plants in the dark area every 8 months. One other detail is the actual leaves should attract better to the stems AND some sort of “cover up” over where the two pieces meet would give it a more seamless look. Again with a little hot glue and pieces of similar dead parts of a bird of paradise it helps give it a more realistic look. The carrier literally dropped the box where the pot covering the plaster base broke it apart.

The plant is not assembled and it isn’t easy fitting the steams together. The leaf steams are a different, lighter color than the long stems attached to the vase which makes it look even more artificial. The planter is very small so I put it in a bigger planter so it wouldn’t be too heavy and fall over. The description of the plant, especially assembly, is completely false. I’m really surprised by all the good reviews and disappointed in the product. It’s an expensive plant that cheapens the room.

This tree is perfect. It has a lot of branches of different heights. It is rather large if you spread it out, but that’s what I was looking for.
