Dating-ish

I inhaled this book. I had to drag myself out of it twice, once for the minimum amount of sleep I could manage on, and the other to push a load of teenagers through exams.I'm sure this review will grow when I've read the book again. I just feel I need to soak in the bliss that's a brilliant Penny Reid book which is exactly what it is. The perfect addition to the Knitting in City series.Now shhh I'm starting it again.

It's so awesome to read about relatable geeky, smart, confident women. I will definitely be re-reading this. Penny is my favorite author, and she really delivered with this one. My husband and I have an understanding whenever she releases a new book. It usually goes something like, "hey, babe, my favorite author released a new book today, so I'll be in the zone. See you tomorrow?" "Okay. Is it from Penny? Let me know what you learn." Haha. I can't wait to tell him about professional cuddlers and the orgasam meditations... along with the robotic stuff, of course. I love learning new things, and that's what makes Penny so great. And also, the Harry Potter references. Be still, my Potterhead heart. *Spoiler* When he asked her if she'd still care for him if he was in Slytherin, I died. Like, snort-laughing and all. Alex and Sandra are still my favorite knitting couple, but these two are a very close second.

I have loved everything Penny has ever written. No one creates more interesting or endearing characters and stories. But Dating-ish is so, so special. Such a realistic and moving story about 2 very funny, highly lovable people taking the long way to figure things out. I was so invested in their development. I found myself tearing up more than once. And how Fantastic to check on all the other beloved characters from more than one series ;)!!! If she's the author of a cookie recipe, I will gratefully buy it and anything else she ever writes. Thank you, Penny, you are the Maestro of original storytelling, characters and oh, my the FEELS!

I borrowed this book from the library and loved it so much that I wanted a copy of my own. This book is so great! It’s so funny and cute. So happy with my new copy.

I read that Penelope Reid respects her readers... that's an understatement. First she gives us amazing stories with characters who are good role models. Second she also talks to us like we are her friends, her funny and smart friends. She seems to think we are all as smart as her (i'm not but thanks to her i always learn new things). And she also initiates philosophical debates with us, she makes us think... She's our Socrates, but funnier of course (... or maybe he was funny too lol. )I'm not fluent in english and science is a language from another planet for me, so i was a little afraid... I hated Science in school but now , thanks to Penny i know that science can be sexy!With his honesty ,curiosity and robots jokes, Matt IS sexy! Sometimes i wanted to shake him and there were this moment when i wanted to slap him... (you'll understand when you'll read). But i had to remember he's not a robot! he's human, and he's a man... he believes in proofs not assumptions. He's really not good at reading people's mind. Yes he's human. A beautiful human... Funny, hot, strong, honest... A man who'll give you the need to hug him... a lot!"Brilliant and affectionate, and hilarious -so hilarious - and handsome - so handsome - and just wonderful."Marie... oh Marie! She's amazing! i felt close to her... the nightmare dates, the dating sites, the hopelessness, watching her friends in love... I understand her ! 100% .
