Tactical Antenna Relocation Full Kit-ABBREE Tactical Antenna System Relocation Pouch +SMA-Female Dual Band 144/430Mhz Foldable Antenna+Coaxial Cable,for UV-5R UV-82HP BF-F8HP Two Way Radio

I bought this so that I could mount my radio at 11 o’clock on my plate carrier. Previously I would have it further back with a 18” whip antenna. That prevented me from easily adjusting the volume or controlling the radio. The antenna cable allowed me to move and mount the antenna behind my left shoulder and the move my radio forward to allow easier access to it.The antenna “pouch” is okay quality. It seems like it should be one more PALS length longer but it mounts securely enough. The antenna cable works well, but it can easily loosen on the radio side. It uses a 90* elbow connector and it is tight enough that normal movement can cause it to loosen and eventually disconnect. It will remain secure if I use a wrench to tighten it down but this prevents me from removing it without a wrench.The whip antenna that came with the kit was redundant as I already have one the same length as well as a longer one that I prefer. It is good quality though they seem to lose their stiffness after a few months of use.Overall, if you need something cheap to relocate your antenna and don’t have the time/tools to make your own, this seems to be a decent choice.

In general these Abbree Antenna's work better than I thought- they are good Antenna's. That said, this Relocation kit seems unnecessary. If you are trying to raise your Radio Horizon- just get on top of a peak. Although good, these antennas are not sturdy enough for "tactical" use.I did not notice appreciable difference between this kit and the 13" Abbree Antenna.Apparently, this is what the Chinese Army uses?

Got wrong kit maybe? Didn’t get coax cable. Received 2 tactical antennas.

I ordered it and it arrived without the shown, and listed, nylon holster/pouch, so I returned it and reordered it and the second one arrived without the nylon holster/pouch....
