It has a bit of shimmer to it but I wouldn’t say glitter - more like a built in highlighter. Great color for summer/fall and doesn’t take much at all

Does it have the creamy butter texture like in the name?

It's creamy but I wouldn't call it butter texture. I will tell you this there is very little blush in the compact. It looks like a lot but part of the compact is a place for a tiny brush. I found it to be over priced for what you get.
