Cool little switch
I put this in my Nash Met as a Hi/Lo fan switch for the heater. Works great and with the LED you know if the fan is on because in that car it's really hard to tell, especially when it's on low!! The first one I got was defective though, the LED didn't work so I sent it back. The replacement worked as expected and is now installed.

EXACTLY HOW THIS WORKS
Two wires power the LED, not associated with any switch, it needs 12VDC. This is a DPDT switch. There are 3 positions, center, turn to LEFT, and turn to RIGHT. In the center, each common in connected to its NC. When you turn the switch to the left(it stays, NOT momentary), the the left common is connected to the NO, and the right common stays connected to its NC. When you turn the switch to the right(it stays, NOT momentary), the right common is connected to its NO, and the LEFT's common to its NC. The switch is perfect. Not all the switches have all the options-- this switch has 8 wires, 2 for leds and three for each independent SPDT switch(2 spdt switches make a dpdt of course).

Not the easiest to wire
I wanted to use this to select cameras in my car; a simple SPDT rotary switch to active to select one of two cameras with the center off. I also wanted the LED to light up as I switched between cameras. It took a bit of work on the test bench and two diodes to get it done. But Im happy with the results. I used diodes ordered from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X7VJ7ZC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I used 3:1 shrink wrap to keep it all neat and avoid shorting.

ohm it out to understand what it's doing, hobby grade switch with nice backlight
My review will basically be a summary in agreement with everything I've seen in the other reviews: 1. ohm it out. it's got a lot of capability and mine is doing exactly what I wanted, but the diagram and the operation is wild. 2. appearance is great, the backlight stands out. it is a small surface to grab 3. back end plug does not latch. it is stiff going on but comes off a little too easily. 4. this is a hobby grade switch 5. tactile feel is also hobby grade and does not inspire feelings of quality or longevity

Interesting
You need to look at the switch’s back labels to see the correct connections. - negative 12v led + positive 12v led C common NO normally open but closed when the switch is pointed to that set of connections NC normally closed but only opens when the switch is pointed to that set of connections NC does NOT open except with the switch pointing to that side. The LED turns on at 2.35V and is semi-dimmable up to 24V. 2ma draw on the LED @ 24V

Nice switch, and great for my use
Using this as the control switch for two separate light circuits for fog and driving lamps.

May be poor quality or frail in design.
The rotary part of the switch failed after less than 25 cycles. The switch startted ffeing a bit grainy, got worse and then simply diconnected from the internal mechanism. Now the knob rotates freely 360°. The knob was not forcrd in any way an was simply switched lightly with fingers. Complete failure before it was put into service. This may be a fluke, and I will order another one. The failed one will get sent back to Amazon. If the new switch fails, I will update this review to let you all know about the quality of these switches.
