I was looking for a container for my dry cat food instead of leaving it in the bag, where the kibble gets hard and dried out. This container is really a good for this purpose. We buy smaller bags for our cat who is on diet kibble. The container fits one bag perfectly. The scoop is an added bonus and neatly attaches to the lid when you close. Seal is great and we are happy we found this. I have other items by this company, OXO, and they are very good quality. Highly recommend this container to keep food fresh!

Works great. Don’t believe the all the negative reviews regarding the lid not creating a vacuum seal, then you watch the videos of them trying to lift the container full of food by the lid and being shocked that the lid wouldn’t stay on. These people made me almost not buy this product because they are expecting some Mission Impossible level of vacuum from a consumer product. Listen, you can try it with an empty container and see that it works perfectly fine. But what some people seem to expect is that you would be able to carry it around by the lid with pounds worth of food in it. From a $20 product? Really? No, it works great for what it was made for, which is to store food. If you want to hang your body weight off the seal of the lid, then you may be disappointed.

We needed something to store the milk bone treats we give to our dog (they're huge, so we break them up and put them into a smaller container than the original 5 pound box. This container holds quite a bit (no, not all 5 pounds) and the pop to lid (press to pop up lid and remove - then place lid and press to seal ... had to teach that to the husband) and so far our food motivated dog has not figured out how to knock it off the shelf and get it open. I do, however, think that a smarter dog, child, person would be able to quickly figure out how to break into it. 😁For out needs, this works great. For our other food storage, I prefer pourable or snaplock opaque containers for freshness and protection of light sensitive foods. When taking the photo, I also noticed this shows fingerprints - you CAN catch whose getting into the cookie jar? Otherwise, this is a great storage solution that is easy to clean.

We use it to store food for our outdoor cats. Works great. The button top seems to work well for an airtight seal, it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it's aesthetically nice.

I have never been disappointed when buying an OXO product. This container is sturdy, and the pop-up canister top provided\s a strong seal to keep contents fresh. I use this large container to store my small dog's dry food. The container size is good to keep a reasonable volume of food handy and the scoop is perfect for measuring out her kibble.

I love love love this. I'm using for dog food. It's a pretty container and keeps things very fresh!! And it holds over 4 lb of dry dog food. I may buy more. Great looking. Great organizer. Easy to label.

I needed something to store my cat’s food (we have a massive bag from Costco and I don’t feel like digging into it every day anymore). This container is great!!! I love the scoop and that it clicks into the lid. Very efficient. The seal seems to keep the food fairly fresh as well.

I bought it to put not pet food but my huge ass rice bag. It fit almost all of the 4.5kg bag with the measuring cup attached to the lid and all of it if you ditch the measuring cup attached. I really like the oxo containers :)

it's kind of small but fits quite a few treats. very cool lid i like the clickyness. :)

Very convenient to store my dogs food without going in the cupboard each time.Smaller than I thought but I do have a small dog so filling up the container should last a couple of weeks for me.
