Great addition to the Star Wars LEGO hangar
I really enjoy this set. While it doesn't belong to the original Star Wars movies, it does feel like it would come out of Episodes 4,5 or 6. It's not as sleek and curvy as a lot of the Star Wars starfighters appear today. Instead, it looks boxy and retro with a nostalgic appeal. It looks like it could be a precursor to the X-Wing or A-Wing.As this ship is from the Old Republic video game, the minifigures are probably not very familiar. (If you go on YouTube you can see the minifigures on the Old Republic trailer). The minifigures have great detail to them. The Republic Trooper has a great outfit (no matching helmet like his comrades in the trailer, though). Satele Shan also has a great outfit on along with a double-bladed lightsaber. The droid is different from your standard R2-D2 mold but there's nothing really unappealing about it.This ship itself is amazing! The ship is well-designed despite the lack of many unique or rare pieces. I love the dark red pieces with the white trim. If you're on the hunt for elusive dark red pieces, I would check this set out. I think that the only downside to this ship is that there isn't a place for a droid like there is on other starfighters. Also, no moveable landing gear but it's not really necessary with this design. In terms of size, it's a little smaller than the X-Wing 6212. It is much more sturdier however. There are a lot of moving parts like the wings and cannons but they stay in place and are easy to maneuver without it falling apart. (great for kids who like to swoosh their planes around and parents who don't want to deal with the frustrating aftermath of it falling apart like the X-Wing 6212). Even the moveable canons, while they move easily, don't break apart at all. I'm not really a fan of flick missiles but the design uses a new technique for the the flick missiles so that they aren't so flimsyPros:Very sturdy for playabilityWings look great folded or not; folding wings great for storage also'Original' Star Wars look, great colorsNo stickers (printed bricks only!)Great minifiguresCons:No compartment for droidsNo helmet for Republic TrooperOverall, I highly recommend this. Great minifigures. A great starfighter!

A great set
Unfortunately, I've never played the Star Wars: The Old Republic game. I've watched some of the story videos, though, and know enough about the characters that I had to jump on this set. It comes with Jedi Master Satele Shan and Republic Trooper Jace Malcom, two of the biggest key characters in the Star Wars The Old Republic. The fighter itself is also an awesome set. The wings can sweep forward and lock for "Cruise Mode", or spread outward and lock for "Fighting Mode". It's got two huge laser cannons on the wingtips that rotate with the wings, and two flick-fire missiles under the engines. It's a large fighter that looks great pursuing the Sith Fury Class Interceptor!

was a used set!
My son ordered this and it said nothing about being used. When we received it the box was taped closed. No instructions, parts in zip lock baggies and empty Lego bags that the parts had originally been in. I very thankful that Amazon allowed to return.

Awesome
It's Star Wars and Lego...YOU CAN'T GO WRONG! My 5 year old is very into Legos, especially Star Wars Legos. He got this as a special prize and built it in just under 2 hours. He has a lot of other Lego Star Wars ships and stars, but this is his favorite right now. My husband and I are not allowed to help him put his Lego sets together, so I assume it is fairly easy to do for those who are good with Legos. Again, he is 5 and did it by himself in under 2 hours.

A good Lego Starship...just good, not great.
First off, I'm a longtime Lego fan, especially the various space themes, and while this set is nice and has some great perks, the ship design is slightly lacking, seems more like a speeder than a starfighter. The design of the ship is ok, and I like the printed pieces. The folding wings are passable, but when I sit it next to the fury class infiltrator and Saesee Tiin's startfighter, this ship just is not pretty. the empty space between the engines doesn't look right and when the wings are folded in, it loos VERY flat.I'm happy with the ship, got it on sale for $35, but I think they could have done a better job. When I compare it to the design of the Galaxy Squad sets that are being released this year, this set seems to lack something. Its not sleek and seems like something you'd put together in Watto's yard.its a good set with great minifigs, but its not a great starship. I really think they could have made this far better.

Great toy-lots of fun.
My 10-year old son says this is an awesome toy. It was challenging to put together. It's decent sized and launches missiles. He recommends getting this. We got it for $10 off on Amazon.
